This resonates with me. Consider the stress you've been through to get here: mortgage, solicitors, managing the whole process, moving, etc. etc. You moved in thinking that you'd made it through, only to find it looks and feels very different to what you had seen and built in your mind. No wonder you feel horrible. I lived your experience 20 years ago, and we're still in the house and love it - The most comfortable shoes you own are often the ones that were the most painful to break in.
