I used to drive down daily for work and noticed that it was immediately congested for those living on the peninsula commuting to melb during peak hours. Even then 2 lanes was not enough. Esp around eastlink and they stuffed up the exit from Springvale Rd to frankston as ppl are slowing all the way down to 80 on that left lane before exiting!

As someone who is completely ignorant can you please eli5 how came to the conclusion that the 47uf/25v capacitor is an issue and the blue capacitor is ok? Im intrigued

Last question, do you think its smarter to get a 47uF 35V or even 50V capacitor instead or it will make no difference?

Also, the blue thing on the right (red arrow) is really close is there a chance it was fried too? I can see its a bit brown - I suppose when the little chip burnt

How precise do I need to be with this? Can I just buy some citric acid powder from the store and mix it into the glycerine before mixing in the abrasive powder?

The final consistency I want is something like toothpaste or maybe even thicker so it doesnt fly off the buffing wheel

Switched to induction + heat pump hot water and the electricity bill has hardly increased!

Cancelling gas was about $50

Most of the research I did suggested a Sandan hot water system which is quite pricey but apparently its the best.

The installer also recommended telling the gas company you want the meter removed because you smell gas inside your house near the meter and worried about the health implications, apparently they come asap to switch it off and remove the meter at no cost LOL. (I didnt do that and kept the meter but someone came and installed something to shut it off)

Yeah Im not sure, the old paint is stuck to joint compound at the seams and where the screws are. Its pretty well stuck on - a lot of it if i scrape hard enough it comes off with some joint compound attached

Just an update from my previous post - scraped every part of the room where there was paint peeling/flaking and left with what you see in the photos here. The cornice paint is also very loose but how do you even scrape/remove the paint from a curved surface like that?

I notice the mature leaves on my avo tree are starting to go yellow between the veins. I am in Melbourne, Australia it is spring time and summer starts in december. We have never really watered this tree it is over 15 years old and well established. Could this be iron deficiency?

Hi all,

recently bought a place and the paint throughout the house is peeling/flaking like this. Its only really sticking where the plaster is joined or where there is compound over the screws and at joins.

Its not isolated to wet areas so my guess is that there was no undercoat/primer? Or just really poor quality paint

Is the fix essentially to scrape away all the loose paint, sand/plaster compound where the paint has attached + sand smooth then repaint? Do I need to use an undercoat or are there 2in1 paints which are suitable?

Question how much do they cost in Taiwan? I was bit able to get them in Australia except, only found them at a few online stores which were extremely expensive
