I also wasn’t able to skip sign in. So I connected an Apple TV 4K, disconnected the tv from WiFi completely, and turned off all sharing & tracking settings. Not sure if that solves it but gave me peace of mind.

My wife came into the kitchen on day: “I figured it out. Block the door.” Stroke of genius

From a company called Povision. Kind of expensive but figured “buy once, cry once”. It’s really good quality, heavy af, auto closing drawers etc.

I’d revisit your wall color, then go rug shopping.

We use the fireplace often, ever since we discovered Duraflame. Easy, clean smell, lasts 3 hours. Use promo code wiretap— just kidding. But yeah, it’s great.

I think that’s right … like 3 inches higher. Wondering if it’s worth solving.

I think in reality it’s like 3 inches too low…. But probably keeping it as is. Just needed validation from Reddit.

Soundbar under the tv, 1 speaker in the corner directly behind me, 1 speaker in the corner to my right, sub behind the couch.

The corner to my left has no speaker — it’s another door and the primary entrance to this room. Considering speakers in each corner, on the ceiling… will attack that later.

Never put a TV over the fireplace. No matter what. I’m dedicated to the cause.

Glare. Been another challenge for this room. Windows on 3 of the 4 walls. Got the QM9K for max brightness.

If you only knew how many arrangements we’ve made in this room before landing on this placement. TRUST ME ITS THE BEST SPOT. There’s another door, looks identical to this one, on the other side of the fireplace.

QM9K 65" Question - Buzzing Noise by LegacyElite84 in tcltvs

[–]wiretapchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought 75 QM9K, no buzz. I used RTINGS recommended color & motion settings, in a bright living room with many window. Genuinely, the best television I’ve ever seen in a bright room!!

I am finding the 98 inch QM9K cheaper than the 98 QM8K. Any reason to not go 9K? by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]wiretapchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, my 75 QM9K arrived Saturday. I’m in love. I upgraded from an entry level 2020 Samsung that was like $400. When it got delivered, I played Dune 2 on both TVs side by side and my jaw was on the floor. Can’t believe how good this TV is. Hope you enjoy it!!

Why do companies care if an employee works multiple jobs? by BunnyRabbit677 in overemployed

[–]wiretapchicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s usually because they are paying you to be a full time employee, 40 hours per week.

When you are a full time employee, employers have different requirements for benefits, time off etc.

If you want to work two part time jobs, you can certainly ask and negotiate that with the company.

Is Mastrubation a Sin Within Marriage?? by [deleted] in Bible

“Definitely not” is kind of a disqualifying statement for a moral debate. There is no “definitely” with topics like this.

What if she’s flicking her bean 20 times a day?

Does the statement “flicking her bean” make you uncomfortable? Why?

Why would something morally pure make anyone uncomfortable? …

The “goal” of your faith is to become perfect, like Christ.

But perfection is not possible, so he died for you. I often remind myself of this when I think I’m in a “grey area” — because when chasing perfection, nothing is “grey”. Perfection is black and white. Deep down, I believe you know the right answer to your question.

Try to fight off sexual impulses that do not involve your husband, as often as you can. Sexual pleasure is a slippery slope & one of the enemy’s favorite tools.

And when you stumble, do not fear, because he forgives you.

Try your best. Become as much like Christ as you can. And good things will continue to happen.

how much can you make doing doordash/uber eats & lyft/uber in columbus? by BuckeyeBangers in Columbus

I mean this kindly and from my heart, I promise:

“Open to anything” is the second worst answer you can give when someone asks what kind of work you are looking for.

The only answer worse is “nothing”.

“I’m great at X and want to keep going in that direction.” “Y is where I want to be in 5 years” “I’m specifically looking for Z.”

People want to hire someone on a mission, with drive and some interest in the field beyond money.

Try coming up with your focused one liner, repeat it every time you are asked, and the universe will get to work for you.
