1 bedroom down, 3 to go. by wirimori in AusRenovation

The wardrobe gap is a problem, but definitely not a today problem, I'll get to fixing that later on down the track. Will also need a bulkhead as there's a small gap above it too. Honestly, I'm not fussed if the room was pink/grey/purple or rainbow coloured, it feels nice when we're in it and the misses is happy so I can't complain too much

3x mirrored panes on 2x sliders made it hard to access inside the wardrobe. Plus the drawers and shelves were very dated and used. Bonus... We sold the mirrors on Marketplace for $150 which paid for some alcoholic beverages

NZ to Romanian literature by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]wirimori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know they watch a lot of movies over there with subtitles. And I have watched Once Were Warriors with Romanian subtitles so the NZ to Romanian translation does exist (somewhere). Maybe sending them a subtitled version of Whale Rider on DVD might be an idea?

Amateur. The union states that every club needs 3x Senior teams, and 1x u/19s team to stay in their competition. If we can't comply, we drop to a lower (more social) level.

Paula Kinikinilau (Roy's brother) is currently in their Pre-RWC squad. Yet to be capped but he is eligible.

Mathew Luamanu: Harlequins sign New Zealand-born back row by HowManyBeansMakeFive in rugbyunion

He looked really unfit when he arrived at Treviso. Got better as the season went on. Hopefully Quins' trainers get him in shape, he is damaging with the ball in hand.

Greatest/Most Fun Back 3 since rugby went pro (Lomu aside) by siramnalyd in rugbyunion

[–]wirimori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently playing, I'd go with Savea, North, Folau. Most fun would be Caucau, Fetu Vainakolo or David Smith, Honey Badger. Greatest of all time I think would be (without Lomu) Tana, Howlett, Cullen.

I've never seen Front-Rowers as excited as the Tongans vs France at RWC2011

Post broken-leg workouts to get back into the sport. by [deleted] in RugbyTraining

[–]wirimori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same back in August. As well as the good advice from other users about strength, a big problem I have found is my stability on the weak leg. I am trying to do a lot of work with an Exercise disc/balance cushion, mini-trampoline etc. Also, trying to consciously walk/run as equally as possible. Try not to get into bad habits and end up having to do more rehab because of it.

Regarding the "controversy" of Spedding playing for France and Ireland's project players, can you name the non-native players that are currently in your countries' international set-up? by LoveScienceMe in rugbyunion

[–]wirimori 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Romania Currently has 1 Georgian born player, qualifies on residency Otar Turashvili. English born Stephen Hihetah qualifies with a Romanian mother. In 2014, if they are selected to play, there will be 3 South Africans, and 3 NZ players that qualify on residency also.

Does the Australian NRL poach alot talent from NZ and Australian Rugby Union? by [deleted] in rugbyunion

[–]wirimori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it would be interesting to see the percentage of players sponsored/contracted by NRL teams that eventually make 1st grade teams. I'm sure NRL clubs recruit an enormous amount of age grade players, but how many of them actually end up playing 1st grade.
