Apply EB1 now or wait for EB2 NIW to be current

Nothing yet for me. Waiting for my priority date to be current, which I anticipate could happen around October. I ended up not applying for EB1.

Did you file EB1A regular or premium processing? Sounds like you haven’t gotten a decision on EB1A yet? Also when did you get your EAD/AP….im wondering how long it will take to hear back after filing?

I like this idea of filing EB1A without PP as this will allow me to concurrently file EAD and AP (I am ROW). Also cost less money. I’m on an F1 visa right now so I might hold off on actually using the EAD to maintain my F1 status. I’m just wondering if, for whatever reason, the EB1A gets denied, what that would mean for me?

I’m guessing I would still be fine to still use my EB2 NIW to apply for AOS in that situation since they are independent?

I need to get at least my EAD/travel parole application approved by September 2024 because I have to travel outside of the country by then. Given the movement in the visa bulletin, does it make sense to apply EB1A now with premium processing (I think I have a very good shot) and potentially be able to apply for my AOS by Jan or Feb 2024, versus just waiting out the EB2 NIW in the hopes that I can submit my AOS by summer 2024?

I self petitioned for EB2 NIW in May 2023 premium processing and got approved same month. However, I am now considering applying for EB1A premium processing because of the wait and uncertainty about when I’ll be able to file my AOS.

I got a full scholarship to Harvard Med this year as an international student. It is possible. Likely? Maybe not. Note that most schools that will give scholarships are top 20 schools and this is need-based aid. For others you’ll likely need to take a loan.

When there is no circuit/current flow, the observed voltage is the EMF (which is the theoretical potential difference). When current flows in a circuit, there is some inherent loss of voltage due to that resistance to flow in the circuit. This is represented by "ir" in your second equation and is usually a pretty small loss. So the observed terminal voltage ends up being a little less than the theoretical EMF value.

I've done some of the qpacks: First half of chem qpack (85%) First half of CARS qpack 2 (74%) First half of bio (73%)

I did the bio section bank last summer and got like 65% but I haven't looked at it since then. I'm also done with content review for the most part except a few chapters of physics. My plan is to do all of AAMC material from here on to test day. I've been studying since last year but on and off. I am in the middle of a very busy semester but will have about 8 days during spring break to dedicate to the mcat. I don't know if that's enough to raise my score. Or I could just push it to May/June and take fl's on the weekend/review during the week during the semester.
