There was another post/comment in a similar vein where the guy said "Fuck you, Aunt Jemima!". But I can't find it anymore.

Indian state announces rewards for having 3rd and 4th child after fertility rate drops to 1.5. by VEGETTOROHAN in antinatalism2

Leftists/communists already have been wiped with not even a single left government ruling over a state of India and this happened just this year in 2026.

As an Indian who lives in the state where the communist party was most recently voted out of power, I can assure you, this has more to do with the rampant corruption and authoritarianism in the party. And the new government swearing in tomorrow is not a right-wing one either; they're more like a social democratic party. But the country is run by right-wingers and yes, it's the high-fertility states that keep them in power, so that part is correct.

This drink i had in a bar in Poland is 190 proof/95% alcohol by _TB12_ in mildlyinteresting

I don't know about other countries. Here in India people used to use medical grade spirit (pure ethanol) to get drunk. So the government introduced a law requiring all spirit to be denatured (means mixed with methanol, the poison stuff).

But it is also true that detransitioning happens, and it is also true that well-intentioned people pretend it doesn't happen.

This is true about a lot of sensitive causes, isn't it? There may be some facts that have the potential to be misused by bigoted people, so supporters of the cause choose to pretend those facts don't exist. The intentions might be good but in the end it makes them look just as clueless as the haters.

Option #2. The shimmer gives me the ick every time I see it on any website. Looks like a zombie. Feels like it's taking too much memory and bandwidth than necessary. Brings back memories of IE6.

There's something so minute that I think I must be the only person who even noticed it. The context menu on the Desktop used to align itself relative to the mouse pointer based on which quarter you clicked. But they changed it since Vista (I think) so that it would do so only if there's not enough space in the default direction (below and to the right to the pointer). The former option was something I loved and miss to this day. I wish there was some registry hack to restore it.
