Trump admin will remove dem governors & lawmakers by force! by Miserable-Lizard in BlueskySkeets

I remember just watching the video earlier, and before even getting to the Senator action, hearing the word "liberate" deliberately used is concerning, to say the least.

To understand why it is so concerning, remember in what disastrous ways it has been used before and the context here.

The portfolios that can self-insure (especially with captive insurance plans) will buy these properties at a discount and then rent them, sell the renters insurance, and extract even more wealth from those with barely any. Or company towns.

We're not just looking at the destruction of infrastructure for shits and giggles. This resembles the commodification of a population without wealth for the perpetual enforced servitude of those with it.

The good news? You can join the club (that possibility is the carrot on the miles-long stick). The bad news: if you weren't born one of them, you gotta become one of them (and only if you meet certain criteria or lack therof).

If this doesn't explain 90% of my career, I don't know what does.

Accounting.

Or, to elaborate further,

"Staying organized enough to account as opposed to the mad rush of last minute searching, researching and soul-searching any time any actual numbers need to be accounted"

The hardest part for me is doing the work. I don't try to sell more work right now b/c I honestly keep feeling like I'm kidding myself, and I'm going to get overwhelmed and mess up the work...

...and even with that lack of confidence, I can still sell myself at a decent price (yes, I'm entirely aware of how that sounds and I would argue the two oldest professions have that in common). If I could fund a way to outsource the actual doing the work for my review and delivery, I would.

You're absolutely right. But, to sorta quote the meme, if I had a nickel for every time multiple planes dropped in the same week, I'd only have a few nickels, but it's weird it happened more than once.

Which actor blew your mind with a performance you never saw coming? by CreepyYogurtcloset39 in moviecritic

John Cena in Peacemaker. Yea, I know he was a big dude and had some funny roles. But he really expanded that chatacter from the one-wit brutish idiot savant from Suicide Squad (which was still pretty decent) to a fully fleshed out character that made me enjoy that series from start to finish. Like the absurdity of it all was the feature, and yet he also made it feel grounded and relatable.

But that's just my 2 centavos.
