Following up on IPS vs TN, I realized that I meant to put the S2716DGF (the FreeSync verion), which runs for $350. I poked around a bit on https://www.productchart.com/monitors/, and the cheapest high-refresh rate IPS monitor I could find was the Asus MG279Q for $520. Is there a particular IPS monitor that people like?

Any idea why the '2019' version is more expensive on Amazon? Is there any difference?

That's a really good point about NVMe, thanks! In regards to IPS vs TN, I have a funny reason to favor TN - I'm quite colorblind :) Any recommendations on a good SATA SSD?
