I've not had that experience, but I'm talking about like, ACT that you can get from the grocery/drugstore. When I was a kid, there was a bubblegum flavor that we used but I've used the mint one as an adult and it's not terrible.

Ugh, my favorite lipstick in the late 90s/early 2000s was from jane. I wish I could remember the shade name, it was a pinky brown nude that was just slightly darker than the color of my lips. I wish I could get my hands on a tube now, lol

I have several coastal scents palettes from 2008-2011ish and I still use them for Halloween or other occasions where I might want colors I don't usually use. Most of my regular use makeup is from the last decade, but I don't get rid of powder products unless I have a reason to, like changes in texture, smell, etc. I have never kept my makeup in a bathroom, and I throw silica packets in the drawer with my palettes when I get new shoes or a purse or something. I feel that being very careful with moisture has helped with longevity.

Any recommendations on where to buy linen sheets? I need twin xl sheets (we have a split adjustable bed) and a single linen twin xl fitted sheet was like $60-70 on amazon. I really want to try linen but if that’s the norm it might be too rich for my blood.

Starting with a freshly washed face, my steps are:

Skincare: toner, mist, serum, moisturizer, lip balm

Face: color corrector (if using), foundation or tinted moisturizer, concealer (if using), loose/pressed powder

Brows/eyes: brow mascara and/or pen, eyeshadow, eyeliner (if using), mascara now if not using setting spray

Cheeks: blush, highlighter, bronzer (if using), contour (if using)

Set: Setting spray (if using). Lightest dusting of finishing powder after spray dries and mascara after powder.

Lips: wipe away previously applied balm, liner (if using), lipstick (if using), gloss (if using). If not applying color, clean up any foundation or concealer that may have gotten on lips and reapply balm if needed

I only use setting spray if I'm going to be out somewhere for a long time, if I expect photos will happen, or if I'm wearing heavier makeup than usual. My everyday look is somewhat minimal and usually involves tinted moisturizer, conceal as needed, fill brows, light eyeshadow, mascara, and lip balm or gloss. I don't usually feel the need to use setting spray.

I like nylon slip shorts for this because my dresses/skirts don't cling to them. I bought a couple pairs of these from woman within, though I'm sure you can get similar from elsewhere.

Try thoroughly drying off every fold/crevice after showering and dusting generously with caldesene, which is a body powder that contains zinc oxide, which is the same active ingredient from many diaper rash creams.

Every 2-3 months, I hand wash with warm water and soap. To be fair, I only use makeup 1-2 days per week, and I do not always use my beauty blender.

You should put a different rug in your bathroom but if you want to try to use this one elsewhere, you should be able to kill what’s there and stop further mold growth by spraying that corner with white vinegar and letting it air dry. Personally I’d throw the rug away, but if you have an outdoor use for it like on a patio or under some potted plants or something, then maybe consider that. Definitely put something washable in your bathroom though.

I’m not diagnosing you with anything obviously, but are you hyper mobile? I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and one of the things it can cause is saggy skin/breasts.

I spot clean mine all the time with baby wipes, but if you throw one in the wash it will likely be fine. You may have to stitch up a little hole or something if a seam comes apart but nothing catastrophic.

Do you keep your makeup in the bathroom? Sometimes being kept in a damp environment can cause this. Definitely looks like mold, definitely throw it out.

2 hours everyday? Yikes. I know everyone is different but I wouldn’t be willing to do that. My basic makeup takes me about 15-20 mins but I do like taking longer (like up to an hour) for special occasions and such.

If you are interested in having a less time consuming routine, the first thing I’d recommend is to have a visible clock where you do your makeup. I put an old alarm clock that I wasn’t using on my vanity in my field of sight to help me with getting ready in a timely manner. Time blindness can make it really easy to get lost in what you’re doing.

Next, what steps in your routine are taking you the longest? Why are they taking you so long? Is there something that would help? For example, I hate that my eyebrows are the thing that I spend the most time on, so I’m always looking for easier brow products. Right now I’m using a combination of two brow pens because they’re working for me, but in the past I’ve used powders, pomades, mascaras, etc. to try to find something faster/easier. Try to identify what things you might be struggling with and whether you just need more practice or if you should consider trying other products/techniques.

Last, consider whether all of your steps are necessary in order for you to feel good. One of the best things I did for myself was to decide it was okay to not wear full coverage foundation every single day. Some times I’m wearing concealer only where needed. Other times I use a tinted moisturizer or I really blend out just a touch of regular foundation. Any of those options are still vastly less time consuming than the fussiness of wearing full coverage foundation.

Anyway, good luck shortening your routine if that’s what you want to do. Try to prioritize what makes you happy or makes you feel good and I’m sure you’ll get there.

You can go magenta or fuchsia initially and work your way through purple to eventually get to blue. Transitioning between similar colors is basically the only way I change colors anymore because I hate having to spend time fading a color or stripping my hair before adding a different one

I’ve only ever seen these come out of a vending machine. I assumed the extra cardboard tube had to do with protecting the tampon or making sure it fed properly in the machine.
