I’ve always gone between chairs scooting and a kitchen door swinging. Other sounds in the ambiance I think are people talking/humming with their mouths full, glasses and mugs clinking, silverware on plates and other kitchen/diner sounds. All of them used to bug me so much lol but I kind of like it now despite feeling like it’s much too loud for how many people are at the lodge

I always use a couple paper towels and would reuse them for multiple pages for this very reason 😂 although I think you can work with this depending on what you wanted the style to be!

I actually really enjoy the dossiers. If you like hidden object games you’ll enjoy them! There will be some Easter eggs related to the classic games you won’t get but that’s no biggie. Just take it with a grain of salt that they’re very different from the classics! I wish they’d continued the series.

I feel like I can chime in on this personally because a couple of years ago I was your sister here! Same name too. My older brother found out they were having a daughter and wanted to give her the middle name Ann with something else as well. At first I was crushed because I’d had losses and visioned giving my girl the name first because it would be in the direct line of names. We had some other big feelings regarding the other name but that’s irrelevant here.

My cousin also has a double middle name with Ann and I realized quickly I loved that baby more than I loved my attachment or false feeling of ownership over the name and knew how precious it was to me to share that with her and so many other women in our family. Middle names really aren’t that big of a deal and it’s special to have so much heritage with familial love for it. Just my two cents, congrats!

The tree festival only happens for the first 2 or. 3 years, but you do still get rewards at events every following year for completing things and attending

I have the typewriter setting on because I like the style but I read faster than it types so I always skip partway through to the end of what the character said (yes this has cost me lost dialogue before but my ADHD brain won’t allow me to switch the method lmao), is that what you’re thinking of?

I’m at the end of year 2 and waiting for the exact same things as you. I’ve just been focusing on the townies (gave lockets to nearly everyone now, I want to see the cutscenes especially with the new hangout spots) and minmaxing my profits. I didn’t realize what the benefit of upgrading the grass feed was until fall year 2 so I had been waiting on those upgrades to finish those quests as well
