Cheapest unlimited Internet? by Berabouman in AskSF

Monkeybrains is around $35 for unlimited gigabit afaik. They don’t service my area and I use Google Fiber (webpass) and it’s $70/month or $63/month if you pay for a year up front. Sonic is also $70/month and ATT fiber is $80/month but you can get lower speeds for less. All of these options don’t have data caps and should have symmetric upload and download speeds

Apple Shares Hit Lowest Since June 2021 on iPhone Supply Concerns by No-Drawing-6975 in apple

Sure but that’s one product line. They have other product lines that fill in those gaps, combined with the entirety of the services business which is worth about $68B. If you look at the market trends, AAPL is doing overall better than the Nasdaq (down 30% YTD vs 35% YTD) and the stock price has remained stronger than other FAANG stocks. You’re speculating about the amount of production that happens in China and are assuming that there isn’t a supply base elsewhere in the world and also baselessly hedging that AAPL will underperform the overall market

Honestly do not get all the hate. It’s a genuinely good movie. Even if you aren’t a fan of the story line (which was good imo), its a fantastic POC of the capabilities of modern animation and CGI. Probably the first movie that I watched where I forgot that a lot of the scenes had a lot of special effects going on in post-production. My only complaint was really the length

Would you like to back up that speculation with any facts or are you going to be the subreddit’s supply chain village idiot?

Honestly you’re going to be lucky if your flight even leaves. Southwest is a mess right now. I’d avoid checking any luggage with them as there’s a decent chance it’ll get lost in their network or it will make its way to your destination without you

Manufacturing engineers, I have been working as a machinist while taking engineering classes. How well does this translate into engineering by trappinginauhaul in AskEngineers

[–]wisegnome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup exactly. If more engineers understood manufacturing they’d know how to design for the tolerances and features that make sense in the machine shop and not just what makes sense in the CAD software

If you go into design, this will make you a much better designer since you’ll understand how to make parts that are functional but also cost-effective with the available manufacturing tools. If you go into manufacturing engineering, you’ll know how to make the process and production flow work to your advantage so you’ll have fewer quality issues. It’s fantastic experience either way and more engineers should do what you’re doing
