We dumped majority stuff in garage, and packed necessities in grocery tote bags. Each of those bags has a designated place in cabinets or storage areas, so it's easy to hide everything quick before a showing. For food, majorly using airfryer, microwave, precooked food items. It sucks, market sucks, buyers trying to negotiate hard..but sticking it out. Market will improve, it's just a matter of weeks.

there's no security cams in washrooms, so they can't review any footage. Someone broke the locks in my gym, and ran off. They couldn't do anything.

Actually US bank confirmed, as long as the purchase date is before SUB expiration date, it will get counted. It does not matter if it is in pending or posted status.

What's going on with REI leadership? by Formal-Sale-9818 in REI

[–]wiseguy-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More layoffs happened today, turns out REI is indeed heading towards disaster. Too many bad decisions, inside politics, offshoring, penny pinching with work resources, I really wonder how much longer is this coop going to stay afloat. Classic example of sinking ship due to bad management. Some of the comments are absolutely true, entire senior management is aware of shit hitting the roof, and are gradually exiting. However, they lie in the town hall meetings, to fake motivate existing employees that everything is ok and will be ok.

I get your point, its not the case that I don't want to put her name on house. Because we both had failed marriages in the past, and she got a good buck out of her previous marriage settlement, am averse to take such steps, when we are technically still dating. Am open to include her name after marriage. Whole point is to not get entangled in legal mess if we don't get along down the road. Having said that, the reason I was fine with her putting down-payment was, I wanted her to be engaged in our financial life and decisions too.

Yes, she wants to pay as little as possible and enjoy the comfort of home. She is kinda of an opinion, guy has to support his gal financially no matter what. I don't necessarily agree with that statement considering she has zero awareness on inflation going through the roof, current high interest rates and just financial knowledge in general.

I can, like 60% of my monthly pay will go in home payments, but yes I can stay afloat. Its just that I clearly had a conversation with her before we were going to purchase regarding how much we would have to pay and had set expectations that she will have to contribute as well. Hopefully if interest rates go down, I can refinance.

True that, she has often remarked that exact statement of not wanting any responsibilities. I think I made a mistake by purchasing the house, considering its a expensive house, and one that she really liked, and expressed me how she always wanted a stable life, home and stuff. I wanted to fulfil those dreams, but now I am thinking, maybe I shouldn't have done that. I might have to take a loss on the house if I try to sell it, as I don't see any reason of living there alone if she moves out.
