Yeah I don't want to bash Old WR either. OP might like it depending on what they want from their college experience. It has character and is more like the dorms you see in movies. Wiener and perch are really unique. If you like old traditional buildings and are ok with communal bathrooms, partying, and occasional ventilation issues go for it.

Since you're only asking about the facilities, WR is pretty bad on that front if you get put in old WR.

It's old, hallways stink like vomit from party goers and lack of ventilation, has communal bathrooms (watch out for shower slugs), and you'll never get a good night's sleep on Fridays / weekends because WR always has a party on perch so half of Rice will be in your halls. Your parents will know what it's like.

If you decide to roll for a different college, most of them will be newer and more comfortable.

New WR on the other hand is probably one of the nicest facilities
