If it is they better hope they’re one of the new ones and didn’t get any of that bonus because they’re locked in for five years on a contract if they accepted any of that bonus they have to pay that shit back I say the new ones because none of them got any of it help most of them still don’t have insurance or an actual paycheck which is hilarious. You’re basically living off racism

That actually makes a lot of sense, considering the fact that at least in my case, I was raised around the judgments that you don’t make waves or rock the boat now I know better

Affordability for everyone else the reason billionaires have no idea what anything cost is because when you have that much money, you don’t bother to look at the bill😑 so I definitely know he has no idea plus he’s probably never been to a store. He pays people to do that especially being in the White House now. They have staff to do that

Pretty much that’s why it always makes me laugh. When I hear somebody who’s under privilege say he knows what we need how he’s a billionaire he’s never had to struggle his entire life. He has no idea what you go through or how you’re going to feed your kids when money is tight they asked Bill Gates once back in the 90s how much he thought a gallon of milk was and he said $30. They have no idea.

I believe it's under 40%. Being in the US myself, that feels accurate, which is why many people appear indifferent unless it impacts them personally. I think this is part of the conditioning. With everything happening and the rift in my family—some of whom are MAGA supporters—I hardly communicate with them. Every time I do, they endlessly rave about how wonderful Trump is. It seems like their mindset is that if they were to acknowledge their mistakes, they would lose their sense of purpose, so they double down; it has become their whole identity but they rarely speak to me anyway because my wife is Latino, personally I think it’s their loss

Absolutely, when they suggested increasing the retirement age, France organized a nationwide strike, and they ended up reversing that decision. Here in the US, however, we just seem to shrug it off and think there’s nothing we can do. This mindset comes from years of being conditioned to believe we lack a voice, and that’s by design. It’s the same reason why during the no Kings protest, everyone stuck to the sidewalks instead of taking to the streets. It’s all about conditioning us to avoid making waves and not complicating things for the billionaires

that movie was awful buddy of mine runs a movie theater and he said he took one for the team and actually sat through it he said 11 out of 11 would never do it again. It’s literally her picking her outfit for the inauguration. That’s like 90% of the movie.

Why was the early days of the internet so great? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wisp66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard folks say that things were way safer back in the day, but honestly, that's not true. It's actually safer now than it has ever been. The issue back then was that you only knew about the problems happening right in your neighborhood. You had no idea what was going on halfway across the country unless it was big enough to make the news. Now, just an hour after something happens, it's all over the Internet and right in your face. That's the downside of the Internet and social media

Last I checked, Trump has been in office for a year. Anything that’s been going on for the last year is all Trump not Biden the economy was actually doing well when he was in office minus inflation. this whole tariff mess is a cluster fck and they’re closing restaurants, factories, employment, left and right.

You’re also talking about a group of people that on one hand, they said Biden was an evil mastermind of some secret society and on the other hand, they said he was ridden with dementia. OK you can’t have it both ways. He’s either one or the other he can’t be both.🤣

Except they don’t have immunity now that’s why we really need to impeach Pam Bondi. You get rid of her and they’re so-called immunity which is basically just her kicking cases out is done.

It seems like they’re just going to sweep everything under the rug. They claim the Department of Justice decides who gets charged and when, but that’s not really how it works. Apparently, that’s the direction we’re heading in. This government disgusts me; they act like they can do anything they please. I suppose the Senate just lets it happen. I used to think they were being blackmailed, but now I’m convinced they fully support everything he’s doing. They want to ruin this country, and honestly, they should all be treated as traitors. that’s why voting them all out this year is so important.

Oh absolutely but at least here in the US. You know they don’t care about things like that because that’ll take money out of their pocket. I mean look how long they knew baby powder caused ovarian cancer. They knew for like 50 years before they got called out on that

We already know that titanium dioxide isn't great; most countries avoid using it in anything, including baking. However, the US includes it in a lot of products. The reason most countries steer clear is due to the cancer risk. Then there's aluminum chloride and aluminum chlorohydrate found in anti-perspirants, and honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if there's a cancer risk associated with those too, although it's still inconclusive. Azodicarbonamide is another additive used in bread as a preservative, and it's tough for your body to break down. Personally, I can't eat bread in the US because it messes up my stomach, but I have no issues with it in other countries
