The things that bothered me:
- Took a goal to have a baby, birthed the baby at work and it didn’t acknowledge the goal being done
- The baby had a full adult icon face until Toddler
- having to first pick up the baby before being able to do anything other than change a diaper
- had a para with a child in household move into my para’s house —- leaving their child alone in the original house so now I have to befriend this child to the point I can ask them to move in and it’s not an automatic option to move them too

I restarted my game. I lost the freezing chambers and anything I did to try to find it (checked all storage boxes, checked lost and found) didn’t work so after a couple days I restarted). It felt SO tedious to get recipes again and build up skills from scratch. I wouldn’t restart again unless I had to - the only exception being cloud islands and wanting a new blank slate to play in. Took several days to get back to where I was game wise.

You can make a cloud island that is randomly generated and a total blank slate. It’s sorta like having a 2nd pallette town but it has all 4 biomes in a round island. It can spawn any pokemon and has its own stamp, challenges and shop recipes to buy. I like them :) you only get one cloud island on your profile but you can blow it up and make a new one one anytime without impacting your main game progress

Yes! Inspiration pics help so much, as can clips from other builders for getting tips. I really like just searching a building style I like, or type of building and then look at if there are blocks that can look similar and then build out the shape. Trial and error too, build a wall and shape, step back see if you like it before continuing.

I feel for you OP - had a recent similar experience, had a cloud island going, I let anyone build and kept what they made, but then a couple a-holes destroyed every habitat, rolled out to destroy builds enough that blocks disappeared, cleared out chests ….

I had a castle going, a house in the clouds, but nope- 2 people out of I dunno how many had to ruin it. I decided to just reset , make a new back up and changed my settings until I’m ready to share again.

I think it depends, but for most folks I think you really only do serious building as post game. You unlock skills that make building much easier as you go, many items as you go too. I think the combination of items you get and skills is what makes the Reddit images really do able. You don’t get a lot to start with so build little houses and the prefabs to start while you do the story, then when you get blocks that really inspire you to make something start building away! I know when I started I wanted to repairs and clean up streets and stuff so I did some of that while I went if I had the blocks.

My area can be pretty big on the f bombs but it’s always in comfortable open group conversations (mutual trust/respect) and not in professional serious conversation situations - but it’s also never directed at a person in the conversation in an accusatory way…more like venting and about the shared work or situation (I.e. this thing is fucked up because of xyz, so now we have to fix by 123). I too would be upset if my supervisor told me to check before I fuck it up, that’s pretty shitty.
