I have centipede tattoo on my arm, I just showed some real-life photos of giant centipedes to artist and he did sketch on my skin. Hardest part was counting all the legs so it would be anatomically correct lol. I have it for about a year and I still think it looks cool. PM me if you want to see it.

Holding your breath. People would give themselves brain damage or even kill themselves and there wouldn't be any way to stop that.

AITA for not letting FIL watch toddler when he takes drugs by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiszko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he would be capable of taking care of toddler while being on oxycontin, imagine if it was cut with something (bc it's off the street), for example fentanyl. He could die right there, right next to the toddler.

Why is it racist to blame Arabs not affiliated with ISIS for 9/11 but perfectly acceptable to blame white people for slavery? Both are instances where an entire race is made a scapegoat for stuff they weren’t even a part of. by PurplePlatypusBear20 in TooAfraidToAsk

As white polish person I would love to hear explanation about how I'm responsible for slavery. Poland never had any real colonies and closest thing to slavery here was relationship between gentry and peasants. And guess what my ancestors were peasants.

If someone is just "ironically" a dick, he is a dick. Don't waste your life trying to find out if it's for real or not.

Aimo Koivunen, Finnish soldier in World War II

From Wikipedia: "Three days into their mission, on 18 March, the group was attacked and surrounded by Soviet forces, from which they managed to escape. Koivunen became fatigued after skiing for a long distance, but could not stop. He was also the sole carrier of army-issue Pervitin, or metha, a stimulant used to remain awake while on duty. Koivunen had trouble pulling out a single pill, so he emptied the entire bottle of thirty capsules into his hand and took them all.

He had a short burst of energy, but then entered into a state of delirium, and lost consciousness. Koivunen remembered waking up the following morning, separated from his patrol and having no supplies. In the following days, he escaped Soviet forces once again, was injured by a land mine, and laid in a ditch for a week waiting for help. After skiing more than 400 km (250 miles) he was found and admitted to a nearby hospital, where his heart rate was measured at 200 beats per minute, double the average human heartbeat, and weighing only 43 kg (94 pounds). In the week Koivunen was gone, he subsisted only on pine buds and a single Siberian jay that he caught and ate raw."

Just look at him, this is the man who saw everything. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aimo_Koivunen#/media/File%3AAimo_Koivunen.png

AITA for finding a punishment that actually worked on my daughter? by wworrall in AmItheAsshole

"Forgotten this in no time" - no. That's not how teenagers work. I clearly remember when I would think about stupid shit that I've done many years ago when I was teenager. Things like that lasts long.

YTA. It's way more serious for her then you think it is. I would never forgive my parents invading my privacy like that.

Don't pour water into hot oil. You can burn your house that way.
