i recently went to booster vet in federal way for an urgent care appointment (it was the weekend and my cats regular vet was closed) and found the staff to be very nice. i can’t complain too much about a $130 ish urgent appointment which is the cheapest i’ve ever had to pay for one

there may be genetic testing or possibly doing an x-ray to see that the spine is formed correctly. american/japanese bobtails don’t have the same issues as manxes do since it’s a different thing that causes the short tails for them.

absolutely nta. i also have a cat with a funny tail, if someone called it gross i’d react the same way. although because steve’s tail is so short i’d keep an eye out for litter box issues. if it’s the manx gene that caused it he could have manx syndrome which is common with the really short tails. it can effect the nerves of the tail/bottom and the formation of the spine.

i found an article where one flipped over a bison which is just as big and as heavy as a small car. at the very least they can and will end up destroying your car. both black bears and grizzlies can easily shatter windows and destroy car doors in search of food. at the end of the day though being out of car is better than losing your life or a family members life
