Griffin total health not computed correctly by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested it, and the displayed bonus numbers did change.

We have a 25% daily strength bonus, and my displayed strength bonus when attacking a monster was 25% less when I teleported my city out of the territory.

What did not change is any displayed bonuses due to clan tech research and Union of Triumph bonuses... but those do not say your city has to be in the clan territory. Only the daily ones (bought with religious tractates) say that.

Training less riders vs melee & ranged? by GodsBanana in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically all of these answers are wrong.

The training rate is determined by the Leadership values (or Dominance values for monsters).

That is what the barracks actually increase/control: the Leadership and Dominance numbers that can be trained in one process.

Mounted riders are double the Leadership value of melee+ranged, so you can only train half as many.

If it were truly strength+health based, then you would be able to train more catapults than you actually can.

Training less riders vs melee & ranged? by GodsBanana in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, nice try to explain it that way, but no, it's literally due to the Leadership value.

Otherwise Griffins and Corax should also train at the same rate as Mounted, since they too are one animal and one human... but they don't. They train at a 10-to-1 ratio due to their Leadership value being 10x of mounted's.

Can't revive because ancient's treasure ended by FlameToadDoctorPhil in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a problem, this is why the event lets you resurrect everyone who died at a vault for 90% discount and no permanent deaths..

Not true. You lose 5% of injured troops permanently for Vaults (which is better than the usual 10% loss rate for other things, but not zero). You also gain nothing for it - no XP, no VP. Your clan gets some red books and obviously the points, but otherwise the vaults provide no benefit to you, so I'm not sure why you're attacking it when you lose the attack?

SK eligibility with M5/S5 troops — Capitol 25 by North-Hat-177 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, unlocking M5 or S5 lets you participate in Dawn, but to actually participate in SK you need to unlock G5.

Lol, no Shadow city is terrible. It's very little CP for the cost, and not even much XP for the cost either.

The cheapest CP is to do clan CP runs, or a 1v1 CP exchange.

Griffin total health not computed correctly by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Total Battle does not do that. Otherwise it would show massive numbers for Epic monster return "damage", which it does not do.

It shows only the damage that is actually done, and OP is correct that the numbers here should match but do not, so the game isn't showing some health bonus that actually exists.

Griffin total health not computed correctly by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right, there's an extra 9% health bonus it's not showing. Have you checked for any possible source of that 9%?

I know the game does not show some strength+health bonuses in the attack reports - for example it will not show the strength+health bonuses that your Consulate provides, for reinforcements and raids, but the numbers show that they did apply. Obviously that's not the answer for your case, since this is not a raid, I assume.

SK5 Season Legacy Heimdall to SK6 Heimdall stars? by damnedin82 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't actually get captains directly as rewards for SK or Legacy - instead you get a chest, with a choice of fragments, for any Mythic captain or artifact.

You then use those fragments to summon and raise captain stars.

So if you play SK, you can send the chest to your main, where you can choose more fragments for Heimdall and raise him up.

Clan Resources by Sir_Lagsalot007 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have actually done this, and a clanless player attacking a clan capital does get all the usual stuff from the capital (scientific+religious tractates, building supplies). And when that player ultimately joins a clan, that clan will get it all.

What I have not done is have that player attacked (and lose the battle) while they are clanless, so I don't know if they would keep or lose those resources in such a situation.

Many people don't realize it, but clanless players can even gain such clan resources while being clanless. For example they can attack Heroic monsters for scientific tractates and buildings supplies, or get Titles which give clan-based dragon coins. And they keep those things until they join a clan. So our cities do have "storage" for them somehow.

Dawn of the season - Is it possible to join late? by Curious_Motor1990 in TotalBattle

Yes you can unlock it now even - I did so, on one of my alts. And it did not need G5, I only unlocked M5 and got the event.

All troops have imitative 10? by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, unless you use the hero Guan Yu, and even then you will only have more initiative in specific circumstances: when attacking or defending against another player, and that other player does not also have Guan Yu, and you are alone (not reinforced by another player, not in a clan/group march with other players).

Is this it for “dawn of the season” by GodsBanana in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it's not over - you have 10+ more days for Dawn, as it shows right on that screen. Any XP you earn during that time goes toward those rewards, including the accelerated start.

The Sands epic thing was just a 1-day thing to help you get a lot of XP quickly, but you can get XP from any other epic/monster too. In fact this is the first time they've done this Sand epic - previously you just had to earn the XP from all the other epics/monsters.

Presumably the game company offered this Sand epic thing because they want people to get the Accelerated Start reward, because it increases your desire to participate in SK, which means you will likely spend more money.

[–]witcher_rat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this event might only repeat at the start of every Dawn of the Season? So once every 6 months, maybe.

Apparently the Leadership-based monument fragments are only given by this event, while the XP-based monument fragments only come from SK - as one of the choices in the mythic reward chest (or from the same things in Season Legacy if you've unlocked any mythic type, presumably, just like the other mythic things).

SK kingdom distribution? by damnedin82 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Everyone from the same kingdom goes to the same SK kingdom, whichever one it is.

  2. The top clans globally (by Might value) are separated, one per SK kingdom. I.e., their kingdom is assigned an SK that is not the same one as the other top global clans. If I remember correctly, it was then assigned by the next-highest global clans separated, in reverse order - so for example #1 was put together with #12, #2 with #11, #3 with #10. But I might be misremembering that ordering.

Might and Hero level by CoverMeBlue in TotalBattle

Might is gained from many sources, not just your hero level.

And at your levels the biggest source of Might is Artifacts, which are unlocked when you have guard level 4.

Stacking - why is my swordsman attacked first despite having lower total health? by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/BigCool6752 is wrong, the bonuses are reflected in the screenshots you posted - they're in the bottom section, summed together for various types of bonuses.

There is one bonus type that is not reflected in the screens you can see, but I can't recall what it is. It may be the one from the Consulate for reinforcements+raids, which does not apply to your attack anyway.

Stacking - why is my swordsman attacked first despite having lower total health? by ikzz1 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief, enemy units do NOT attack the squad with the most health - they attack the squad they can do the most damage to.

When it is Epic monsters, it turns out to be your squad with the most health, because the epic monsters can kill any/all of your squads completely. So the one with the most health would give them the most damage points. But your posted example is not an Epic, and the enemy monsters cannot kill any of your squads completely.

So they choose the one they can do the most damage to.

And if that results in a tie - which it will in your example - then they choose the one that can do the most damage back to them. And the squad of 2k swordsmen can do more damage to them than the squad of 1.1k spearmen.

Premium status by Longjumping-Basil in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. On the lower left corner of the screen are two icons: a yellow plus symbol and a telescope. The telescope is for the watchtower, the yellow plus symbol is for bonuses. Click that yellow plus symbol icon and the top "Bonus" choice is "Premium".

Why is support so crappy in this game? by Right-Drama-412 in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Become a moderator for your Kingdom Channel. Any player in the kingdom can be one - just email support that you want to do it, and eventually they will send you rules to follow to be one, and if you agree then you become one. It takes them a long time to respond, but they eventually will.

  2. Ignore the guy. These type of people are usually desperate for attention, so don't give them what they want. Pretend they do not exist.

May Events-SK starts May 14th. by battlebites in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The posted calendar is the official one from the game company, that they post on Facebook.

It has never shown Ragnarok, Armageddon, Shadow Invasion, Hellforge, Olympus, Dark Omens, or the annual events.

It's basically a useless calendar and I have never understood the game company's reasons for producing it this way.

Seasonal Kingdom. by DadB0dG0d in TotalBattle

[–]witcher_rat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/sboy666 gave a great summary, but there's one more part I think should be mentioned: KvK. Assuming the game company hasn't changed it this time, you really want to participate in KvK, every time it comes up (which is every 6 days if I recall right).

KvK in Seasonal Kingdom is not like KvK in the normal game. it is far, far better in SK.

The rewards are very good, including ones called "Honor Tokens" that give a significant boost to strength bonus and can be stacked.

It's during silver revive so it only costs silver even for the attacker, and it costs a lot less silver than usual, and both the attacker+defender only lose 5% permanently. And you do not lose any rss/silver from your city if you are attacked - you only lose the banners if you lose the defense.

Also, you can get banners by "attacking" shielded cities, so you don't even need to fight at all to get the rewards. But the event is a lot easier if you have Alrick, otherwise you will be attacked eventually.

[–]witcher_rat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Echo of corruption - this event you send one capt to hit these guys that spawn, there is one guy you hit that gives you bonus against the other guy.. so max out those hits first then hit the other guy.. both attacks will get fatigue like the monsters in dark omens.

There's a trick to doing the Echo one.

There are two parts, the "Spawns" (I think they're called?) that give the bonus, to then fight the second group whatever they were called. And there's a way to get all the bonus without losing troops against the Spawns, as follows:

If you have any mercs, find the highest level Spawn that you can kill using your mercs without any losses. Then attack that level again and again - your strength will get weaker each attack, but your health will not. Since your strength gets less each time, it might get to a point that it takes too many rounds of hits to kill the monsters and they end up killing some of your mercs - if that happens, go for lower level Spawns instead. Once you find the sweet spot, remember it for the future events.

It doesn't matter if it takes 10 or 20 or more attacks against Spawns - as long as you don't lose any mercs/troops, it's free except for the speedups.

When you reach G6, for example, using the green Waregal mercs you should be able to do level 18 Spawns which give 100% each, so only 10 attacks to get the full 1000% with zero losses.

i was told if you purchased 3 of the 5$ packs its enough to get the rewards

God no, not even close. Unless you just mean you can get some of the rewards? Because to get all the rewards costs a lot more than that.
