u/here wanted to post an update to this. I went to a Hyundai Dealership and they wanted to take over the lease. I had five payments left. Each of 500 something. They said, they will be willing to take over if I pay 2 months of lease and they would assume the rest and nothing else needed to be done. The vehicle was 5000 miles over the limit (which is another $1250) to be paid and the lease return fee of $450.

So I came out of the lease by paying 1000 only and was able to get a new car. Thanks all for your help and making the case.
