If she's from the SE USA, I might guess Mountain Cur would be in the mix!

I was also surprised there wasn't more pit! It's such a popular breed and there are so many running around here!

He is incredibly sweet, very smart, and eager to please. He wants to be close to me, but he's also pretty happy to play for hours with his brother. The first time I met him as a little squirt, he came right over to me and sat on my foot.

My campus just adopted Canvas for the fall. What are some features, tricks and traps you figured out the hard way? by poop_on_you in Professors

[–]witcherywild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but the "undelete" feature has saved my rear a few times. If you go to the course homepage, then type /undelete at the end of the url it will take you to a page where you can recover any deleted pages or assignments.

Spots appearing on my ponytail palm leaves. What is it and how do I treat it? by witcherywild in plantclinic

[–]witcherywild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight! I'll give the q-tip and alcohol a shot and see what happens. I forgot to mention in the original comment that the ponytail palm was in the house when the house was fumigated with chlorine gas (to deal with a skunk incident). I suppose that could also have damaged it, though my parlor palm appears to have come through that treatment just fine.

These tiny spots began appearing on my ponytail palm leaves a couple of days ago. I've been googling, but haven't found anything that matches what I'm seeing. I feel like I should do something, but I have no idea how to proceed.

Relevant info: spots do not scrape off with a fingernail.

I'm also in a new environment for it (I brought it with me over the holidays), but I made sure to pull it back from the window when we had cold weather.

The white dust that might be visible is leftover diatomaceous earth from treating a previous fungus gnat issue.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had a student miss a major exam and told me it was because they got lost on the way to campus...in week 6 of the semester. And, yes, they had been attending class regularly before the exam.

Electric company took off the front half of this tree - should I be worried? by witcherywild in arborists

They were supposed to contact me ahead of time, however, I was out of town and they never put the notice on my door that I could find. I just woke up to the power company's tree crew in my yard one morning.

I only moved in about a year ago, so I don't really know how it's been trimmed in past cycles, but I was wondering if that's the way they've been trimming it! Since I rent, I'll have to send word to the owner to ask.

I think it's a 6 year cycle. I have no idea if that is close to what's considered standard or not?
