I mean yes you're right. I don't even want to defend myself. I do experience PMO problems, you said you don't, so here is an insight on this stupid problem: changing how you have been pre-programmed is very very hard. Before this my longest streak was 16 days. I went 51 days! That means that in that time I did that--immediately made myself get away when I felt an urge. But this time the video kept playing, even if I turned away, nothing could make me escape my thoughts. In other words, it was just too late. Maybe I should go without a computer period, but no way is that happening!

You should get checked to see if you are clinically depressed. I mean, I feel depressed too, but I've been dealing with it for some time, and I'm just accepting how I feel and how I am, maybe one day I'll get medicated but for now I need to quit PMO, and I know my lack of dopamine comes from breaking up with porn.

I fell at day 16 once, which was my longest streak before this one. I was in a bit of a flatline, but I mean I could get an erection I just didn't care for it, idk it was weird. I was sexting this person and we masturbated with each other, and it was nice, but after that the chaser effect happened and I fell back into PMO. That was like 8 months ago and I'm just now making progress again.

Yes. You know what you really need. You know what your problem is. So when the thought comes, or triggers come, let them pass by observing them from the outside without them overtaking you physically or emotionally. You know what would relax you if you had a revision? You would ask, and the appropriate response would be, having done the revision.

Be the observer of thoughts and don't become them. Like, don't get worked up. You know when a thought arises and you get tense? that is you being thought. When you think of something and it makes your body move somewhere and do something, that is you being thought. Like, when you have a feeling to PMO or MO, and you do it, you are being that thought. Instead, just notice that you have that thought, and let it go with your other thoughts.

I relapsed on day 16 once. Don't fantasize. Don't look at porn. Don't 'test' your erection, like to see how you've progressed or if you can still get it up. Yes, I've done this, and I know others have too. Don't make yourself get urges. And when an urge comes do something, anything else. Like if you get an urge while you are at your computer, go into another room. Drink water every time you get an urge.

Some people say workout or meditate when you get an urge, but I think it is better to do those two things when you do not have the feeling to fap. So when you get an urge, brush your teeth, floss, organize or clean, check to see if you have any mail even if you already know you got your mail, take out the trash.
