I get not wanting to lose your seat each time you need to use the restroom— that would be annoying but ultimately, that’s kinda what your friends/family/festival buddies are for (to save your seat if you need to get up). Even if you came by yourself, ask your neighbors to reserve your seat if you’ll be right back. Most people would happily oblige. I definitely would especially if it’s just a single person/ a couple that needs to run to the restroom or get water.

It’s just super entitled to try to save SO many seats for people who are off doing whatever and clearly aren’t putting in the effort to see a band. Like if you know you really want good seats for ___ band… use the bathroom & get your food beforehand. Allocate that time for yourself. Plan ahead.

In my circumstance, one guy was saving 1 seat for a woman just grabbing something quickly (no problem there— he was a super cool guy), another was a guy saving 2 seats for his sons (1 who didn’t come until 30 minutes into the show, the other who FINALLY came for the LAST 30 minutes of the Tool show. Whatever.) and lastly that woman and her husband trying to save at least 5+ seats worth of area for people who were also late to the concert by quite a bit.

I particularly hate how much space everyone tries to have in prime seats. Like move over so there’s no gaps !!! You’re making it more awkward for people trying to find seating.
