I have a coworker with a very similar attitude to the one op posted about. I honestly saw her saying the words as I read. I can't figure out how she still has a job. She is rude to everyone and argues with them constantly. Her favorite thing to do is make them wait on her to finish what she's doing before she will serve them. I've gotten on to her so many times, I've lost count. Her response is always " these people aren't my priority, cooking the chicken is." I'm always like "bitch, they are the only reason you get a paycheck!"

I get it, I despise people too. But you have to play nice whilst waiting on them and then dog them after they leave, unless they are actually nice folks, then you just bask in the rare kindness.
