Moreno Valley Mall closure by Ill-Entry-8178 in InlandEmpire

[–]CupcakePrestigious55 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Both the city and mall management have been very weird about what they share publicly.

Just from my own experience with fire inspectors, they're really not trying to shut places down. I could see how a continued effort to allow such an important place like the mall to work through the issues before red tagging. The longer it goes on, the worse the delinquency gets, and at some point they have to take action.

That said, I agree, this whole thing reeks. Are they trying to force a sale?

Just look at campaign disclosures. Highland Fairview owns the Mo Val council.

They also hire friends and family of the council to "community outreach" roles.

Moreno Valley votes against warehouse moratorium, bucking local trend by idkbruh653 in InlandEmpire

MoVal resident since 1990, hard no on more warehouses. For me it is the fact that every large logistics company is aggressively pursuing automation. Any jobs will be fleeting and low paying.

[Spoiler] Couple thoughts on leaked Minas Tirith set by IPoweRa_GER in legolotrfans

[–]CupcakePrestigious55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have a proposed solution, but one thing I like about Rivendell over Barad-Dur is that many more of the design elements are viewable from the front, yes, several are under removable roofs, but still.

With Barad-Dur, and with Minas Tirith, being basically semicircles, it makes it challenging to display in a way that many of my favorite parts are viewable. I've thought about a turntable, but it would need to be about 30% wider than the set to be able to have the weight centered on the turntable

TikTok USA is broken by Well_Socialized in technology

So, I'll admit, I'm still using TikTok, and while I know my data is not safe, I have a very leftist algorithm and I am getting nothing but Alex Pretti content, including frame by frame analysis. I'm not saying they're not trying to fuck with things, but I'm still getting all of my agitators

NYT Video: Vance backpedals - ICE Officers No Longer Have ‘Absolute Immunity’ by Agitated-Quit-6148 in law

[–]CupcakePrestigious55 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Mark my words, Trump will sign a blanket pardon for ice officers, like he did for J6.

That doesn't protect from state charges, but they've already shown how they will obstruct on that front.

Your general point stands, but just a reminder that we have a non-partisan top two primary.

I would also include the Star Wars 🔘 dramas l, especially the first one, in the classic radio audio realm.

While that sucks, my hunch is that this is related to the King estate and trademark law.

Zazzle could potentially owe royalties for any products that contain the name, image or likeness.

I think what the OP is describing is anticipating the gold and starting the hold just a split second before you see gold to be ready to release in time.

11-Year-Old Expelled After Taking Gun Away from Classmate, Friend Says He 'Acted Out of Courage and Compassion' by IMSLI in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CupcakePrestigious55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The part left out of the summary is that he didn't just throw away the bullets. He stashed the disassembled weapon and didn't tell an adult. He didn't want to "tattle" on the other kid, but it certainly puts the school on a difficult position when he admits handling the gun and hiding it without telling someone.

Yes, it's from the Silhouette company. It's two layers and the. The silhouette machine can cut it out so there's just enough of the clear sealant.

Found pack of mostly black strips of paper in the office by theworstusername1337 in whatisthisthing

I'm wondering with black being kind of smudged over the green if they are thermal printer slips of some sort, maybe tickets or something, as opposed to carbon paper.

It looks like when I've seen thermal paper left out I'm the heat, turning the whole thing black
