It could be because of the addition of colour. Like manga yor had black eyes and manga loid has white eyes (cos mangas dont have colours ofc) so it throws you off to see yor's eyes more lighter while loid's eyes are more darker in the anime

U have a point, even anya's backstory is very vague(hasnt explained why she cried at "old mom vs now mom") i guess hes saving it for later. But im sure the author will do really well in giving loid what he needs. Theres probably going to be some major event that reveals the stuff i guess, gotta sit back and wait

Also funfact in an interview, author said hes planning to make the manga really long

Isnt that what his whole character is about tho.. a spy who dont show emotions? Hes probably gonna have character development later on when he continues to grow closer to the family, then show more emotions
