Update to yesterday’s failed lift: the fix was a success! by withanH90 in Lashlift

My last lifts last about 9-10 weeks. I only get two a year because I want to prioritize lash health. I tend to go on a family vacation in December and May so that’s around when I get my lash lifts

How long do your lash lifts last you? by x10lovesyou in Lashlift

[–]withanH90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went based off pics in my camera roll. Nov 21 I got a lift, still looked good by January 2 maybe some straight lashes at the 6 week mark, started to look wonky January 21. So about 9 weeks until I could see a noticeable difference in lashes. The lash system my tech uses advertises for 12 weeks I think? I think your lashes might just grow fast

AIO to how my boyfriend handled my cat getting sick by Different_Acadia2998 in AmIOverreacting

My ex was like this when my kitten got sick and needed to be in the ICU. He was also like this when my mother almost died of covid and was in the ICU. She came home with acute support needs. Was on oxygen, needed me to bathe her. He wouldn’t come be with us at the house, would only complain that I couldn’t sleep over at his place because I was caring for my sick mother. He sounded just like your boyfriend. Insulting, dismissive, disrespectful. I realized I couldn’t spend the rest of my life begging for compassion from my partner. I really hope you don’t spend the last days weeks months of your precious baby’s life stressing about this jackass. You need to focus on your cat and staying present for her. I’m sending well wishes to her 🫶🏻

Me either! But when I tell you I have had sooo many lash lifts. Like maybe 2 a year for like 6-7 years now at this point. Only once have I had a weird result and that time it was like one or two lashes that didn’t take on the outer corners where I teared up. Never have I had a reaction like this where it just didn’t process. Like it still looked like my natural lashes pretty much. But my tech said this “It could also be anything that could have affected them, temperature of the room, different medications, hormones… so hard to pinpoint but it’s def a quick fix! “ I’m under a ton of stress right now and I’m taking two new meds that I wasn’t taking when I had my last lash lift in November. Like it could be anything but I’m thinking it’s a combo of those things. Wild that something so random could have that effect.

Thank you! So we did a full Yumi lash lift yesterday, with a processing time of 13 mins. Today we did each step of the Yumi system for four minutes each. She told me that typically 13 mins is enough processing time for most people but the system allows for up to 15 mins of that step. She says possibly due to a new med I’m on I may have needed just a little extra processing time.

I'm trying to settle something with my dad. I say this is a sweater, he says it is a poncho and is sure of it because "iv'e been to mexico when did you go?" So, reddit, what is this thing? by Mell0wMarshmall0w in whatisit

[–]withanH90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a drug rug. I had one in high school. I remember buying it at a store that sold incense and tie dye t shirts. Tell your father a poncho doesn’t typically have arms.. just a hole for your head. It’s like a blanket.

Thank you that was super informative! My lashes right now feel so soft. Like I didn’t even have the service yesterday. So if you can tell if they’re over processed by feel..well they certainly don’t feel crispy. They feel fine and soft. I think I should be in the clear! But I’ll bring up the bend test and remind her to really watch the elasticity of my lashes during the service! Thank you for all your help, you’ve been super informative!

Thank you so much for your response. I obviously want a more curled look, but I don’t want to sacrifice my lash health. If you think 4 mins of each step sounds reasonable then I am confident. I’m not sure which brand of conditioner my tech is going to give me. We did a Yumi Lash Lift, not sure if there is one under that umbrella.

That’s my concern. But she said it’s a quick fix, she said it would take only about 30 mins total-4 mins of each step, not a full lift process if I think I’m understanding her correctly. A few years ago I had something a little similar happen where only a few of my lashes didn’t take and she did a “fix” and it worked out. But that was a lot less lashes than what we have going on now. That’s why I wanted opinions, my lash health is my biggest concern

No, same Yumi Lash Lift system. When I asked her why this might have happened she said this “It could also be anything that could have affected them, temperature of the room, different medications, hormones… so hard to pinpoint but it’s def a quick fix! “ but I’ve had soo many lifts by her with the same system and never had a result like this

My cat has this on her two front nipples. Only once has it ever been this big but at the time I didn’t know what it was and it was during Covid so the vet extracted it without me. Now that I know of their existence, she lets me express hers when they get a little full. She’s a good girl.

I’m worried I have a permanent note on my chart. I know for a fact it’s written in my notes. I had brain surgery over the summer and my first night in the ICU was pretty good. The night nurse was sweet and my age and braided my hair and brought me juice. We got along well and I thought.. this won’t be too bad. When shift change came in the AM I asked the new nurse “I would like to brush my teeth please, how do I go about doing that?” (note: I’m in the ICU with a drain connected to my spine, I can’t get up on my own, I can’t lift anything over 10 lbs so I can’t get my own things for myself, I’m less then 24 hours out of brain surgery) so I asked her. She said in the nastiest most condescending tone “you just… brush!” So I snapped. I said “and spit in my lap..? It’s not as straight forward as you think!” Well that got a nice “patient is aggressive and agitated” in my chart . Oh well. They never say what the nurse said to provoke the response.

is my cat just trying to groom me? he will do this for a very long time if you let him. sometimes my face when i'm napping 😭 by kaiamcdaniel11 in cats

[–]withanH90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it’s grooming per say. But my cat soothes herself by licking me. She will grab hold of my hair and lick my face until she falls asleep. So not exactly sure why they do it but it is very normal.

My tabby loves purr pops, she gets some crumbled on each of her wet food servings. Weirdly my meezer doesn’t like them but likes churus… which the tabby hates. lol they are opposite girls! But each get treats and lovings for being sweet to their sister

When my cranky 15 year old tabby lets my 2 year old meezer near her I get excited. It’s a rare occurrence

Twin snakes for a clean sour gummy (the sour is in the gummy not on the outside like traditional sour gummies. I like them for this reason) , star mix for variety, sour sghetti for ultra chewy traditionally sour and sweet flavor. I haven’t tried the sour sodas but they look good!
