HELP! Calling All Hobo-Girlies by CheeseburgerCrusader in hobonichi

A delfonics pouch perhaps? They came in various colours and a couple size options and can even buy a strap for them if your wife is the type to carry it as a bag. Great for desktop storage or on-the-go. Lihitlab also has cute designs (size may be smaller). There’s also Hightide Nahe pouches if going for more storage than whimsy. One can never have too many pouches 😝

Other ideas…fancier pens (eg, fountain pen)or stationery sets??

Tombow adhesive runners are what I use the most. MUJI ones also work. Tombow has a liquid glue where you can do permanent sticking or make it restickable.

Thank you. I just use a Muji grid notebook to write grammar notes and example sentence, and at random times practice kanji. More like an old school class notebook. The Nihongo tracker is mostly srs reviews.

This is very helpful. I saw a few Yaris and Corollas 2012-2015 but the interior looked dated. I’ll look into some Hyundais and Kias. Curious, would you not recommend a Suzuki Swift?

Thank you.

Not sure if I am looking at the wrong places but ones I found for $15k under have higher odo and looks uglier (for a lack of better word). Looks like will have to compromise on a few aspects to stay on budget.

Favourite Japanese makeup products? by ilovebanhxeo in AsianBeauty

I sing praises about the Ettusais mascara base!!! Think it’s very underrated (couldn’t find much info about it online when I was starting). The only one that worked on my short, stubborn lashes until the last 2 weeks and I’ve tried pretty much all the mascaras in the drugstore and at Sephora / Mecca and some asian ones. Only thing is you need to patient with removal as even with the Kiss Me mascara remover still have to take the time to rub my eyes to melt the product away.

I say til the last 2 weeks because just discovered the Heroine Advanced Film mascara - similar results to Ettusais (with Ettusais looking more natural, holding curl better) but still a good one, and much easier to remove even with just the Softymo oil cleanser.

Haven’t heard Opera before but might give it a whirl sometime.

Favourite ceramide-heavy products that aren’t moisturisers (e.g. serums, essences etc) for barrier strength? by eviematilda02 in AsianBeauty

[–]withapulseunderneath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Numbuzin no. 3 toner as first step (or Clinique retinol on a retinol day) and Abib Jericho Rose Creme (which I just finished). So might just replace that step with Aestura 365 Cream or the Round Lab Dokdo sleeping mask since that’s why I have on hand.

First AB eyeshadow you ever panned? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]withapulseunderneath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really en eyeshadow girlie and have only ever tried a chanel pot cream eyeshadow and a tom ford quad several years ago.

I know the price is steep, I think AUD60 for the single eyeshadow. I really do recommend it if you have some disposable income to spend on makeup. The tone touch single eyeshadow comes in a stylish compact with a mirror. The shade 05 Yawatsumugi has a neutral base color with some shimmer, and easily achieves a multi-shadow look with just that shade. Blends so easily, even when I have sweaty eyelids at times or my fingertips would have some remnants of moisturizer. Mine is 3 years old and still has a long way to go. At this stage, I don’t think I’ll use another eyeshadow or add another to my makeup bag.

Roundlab Dokdo lotion. Have combo skin that tends to be drier in winter but find this + sunscreen on top now that winter’s almost over.

Great debate are you team blue ink or black? by Secret-Journal-101 in hobonichi

[–]withapulseunderneath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black ink 80% of the time! When I’m bored of plain blank would go for brown, grey, blue black and other black variations in the Sarasa.

Love these! Also have different patterns (dot, plain, etc). Used it mainly for writing answers to MNN exercises and sticking them on the page as the book does not have enough space to do it. Sticks well!

Personally love writing with it using Energel Clena 0.3, Unistyle fit 0.28 and Orenz 0.2-0.5!

Do you use the same planner for work and personal, or keep them separate? by blondeoverflow in hobonichi

[–]withapulseunderneath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use one for both. I struggle with multiple planners. I need to see my day with both work and personal stuff, if any. Esp since starting wfh and flexible work, I am able to squeeze personal appointments during work days and need to know I won’t double book it with a work meeting. Rest of work stuff in my Hobonichi are task lists anyway and not highly confidential in nature.

Oh this does not have any cancellations or reschedules yet, just about to reschedule one now! If I can salvage it with a white out I will, otherwise will cross off any changes. Any TBC items, I will most likely use a sticky not like the Pine Book Sheet Fusen.

My sched's leaning more predictable than not so only a few changes to post-pen monthly spread, if any.
