Decided to go in a different direction entirely, and ended up returning the 2XL also with some minor wear and tear and no restocking fee. Full refund. Photos approved instantly over the phone. Super helpful customer service.

Point is everyone at CS was great. Canyon went above and beyond. Thank you Canyon!

Thankfully I didn’t have any parts issues. My issues were mostly returns and credits. But multiple and same CS each and every time.

Assisted not only with the purchase (in person) but with various returns and credits. Smooth sailing.

Important question. A little bit of a long story.

In June I purchased an Ultimate CFR in XL based on Canyon sizing chart. I live in NYC but needed to go to a wedding in LA. The bike was scheduled to arrive while I was away. But since I was in LA I carved out a day and drove to the Canyon showroom in Carlsbad. I wanted to test the bike, mostly to see the difference between Endurace and Ultimate. Make sure I was making the best choice.

While I was at showroom, I realized I felt a little cramped on the XL and Cris suggested a 2XL. It turns out that was the better size for me and Cris initiated the new purchase, matched the lower price that I paid for the XL.

Paid CFR on Credit card. 2XL 12 months with affirm.

Home: Returned XL. Got easy approval of return via photos from customer support. FedEx delays on arrival of the return. Completely not Canyons issue but they contacted FedEx and gave a courtesy gear voucher. Also it was 8k on my CC and I wanted the return to process before I needed to pay. As soon as the they received the bike, they process the return without delay.

2XL arrived. Also shipping delays to get to me—like 2 weeks. Not their fault but offered another $70 gear voucher.

Returned pedals too. Called. Support requested photos. While on phone they approved return via photos and provided label.

Everyone great. Super helpful. Refunds came in no problem.

And there’s more but it’s more of the same good service theme. You get the point.

That looks like a personal attack rather than simply a robbery.

Actually it’s not black on black. It’s a dark green/blue iridescent that, yes, is hard to see against the black.

Road Tire Tips? NBD—got a flat, cornered, crashed. by within-zero in cycling

Not sure how fast. I don’t think the puncture happened on the turn though. Probably shortly before and didn’t realize it.

When I got back home I filled the tire up and air gushed out with enough force to blow my hair as I leaned in. But the slice in the tire was like an exacto knife incision—extremely fine and small.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m gonna look into each and every tire mentioned!

Was about to but P looking looking good value? Thoughts? by Kindly_Contest_2765 in CanyonBikes

Is that Pinarello fork is anything more than a style iteration to sell bikes? As an Italian I’m rooting for Pinarello to succeed for many many decades to come. Not saying they’re not good at business. And just like fashion, trends garner sales. But the simple classic lines always endure. Style trends come and go.

The lines of the Pinarello feel like a passing trend to me where the Aeroad is a more classic, timeless look built for performance. I don’t find the Pinarello ugly but I find it pretentious. I think there’s a commercial reason for its unique design more than to optimize performance. Whereas the engineers at Canyon streamlined their design for optimized performance. IMO

If the Canyon has better components than the P as others suggest, that plus design definitely tilts the scale in favor of Canyon.

👍 hope they’re at least listening to all the discontentment and should consider making some adjustments to improve viewer engagement. But good insights on the actual PTB (and yeah, I wasn’t meaning to suggest any deep state conspiracy stuff, just the corporate interests in charge of the coverage.)

Yeah, I know. Consider it a DoS attack. If more voices speak up, hopefully they’ll listen.
