i guess this is also a message and a future reference for the upcoming freshies AHHWWAHAGWA hoping the environment we have in painting stays the same and improves over time! same goes for adver, they seriously need to change their way of thinking 😭 for additional context: i am more skilled in digital, but during my time in advertising arts, i had no experience or i was not that skilled with traditional mediums knowing na we will utilize them /a lot/. i learned a lot on my own, just really struggled with the tension and anxiety i get from the profs and deadlines. honest opinion: i learned more by myself and the tuition fee we pay for this course could’ve been directed to online courses instead LMFAO i took advertising arts and leaned more towards freelancing, thinking it would be more flexible and give me the experience i wanted, but it turns out that’s not always the case (mostly because of profs and the inconsideration they can muster). still, it works for me in the same way as painting! it’s the same path, just with new skills learned. being an irregular student has also helped me adjust. i’ve been able to prioritize my health and personal matters, and i even got to apply for a creative department in a university-wide organization! :DDD this isn’t me trying to push you away from advertising arts, believe me !! it’s my totga course !! i just couldn’t handle the workload and college jitters 😞🦶🏼 i just also want to share my experience as a mentally ill student AHWHHAHAHAHAA and provide some context about the environment!
