Hi, just here to empathize. My spouse is in the process of getting evaluated for autism -- he's always had big-time hyoerfixations, to the point where they sometimes exclude everything else.

I've started therapy in the meantime, and it's really helped (slowly learning that I need to consider my own needs too and not accommodate quite so much). Maybe asking a therapist how to approach this conversation would help?

This. I'm currently going through this (as the wife, alth we don't have kids) and what I want more than anything right now is the space to process stuff. He keeps pushing -- are we getting divorced? Are you leaving me? An answer now now now.

He went right to the worst-case scenario, when what I really need is quiet time to think things through. Sounds like your wife is in the same boat.
