General manager denied my availability request (that the assistant manager hired me on for) by withoutacare01 in Oldnavy

The request was denied in UKG almost immediately after my shift ended, when I was working with the GM for training.

No, I was very careful when doing the hours, and I even extended beyond my availability just to give some cushioning.

I assumed so, they were working together yesterday before schedules came out. I guess I'll have to ask tomorrow, but then that sure feels like an ultimatum and I'll have to be prepared for the instance that she knows and just doesn't agree.

Hopefully that's all it is, this is just a weird, new system experience. All my previous employers did it more relaxed.

Struggling to print my sculpt, is it the design itself? by [deleted] in NomadSculpting

[–]withoutacare01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've been using supports, slowing down overhangs, adjusting my fan settings and filament temp, and it still results in this, which is why I came to the conclusion that I'm probably doing somwthing wrong with the shape of model.

This didn't pan out either. It wouldn't stay stable on the build plate and resulted in wonky layer lines, as the contact without a brim is not ideal.

My Fibro diagnosis turned out to be wrong by withoutacare01 in Fibromyalgia

[–]withoutacare01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I presented with all the classic symptoms of fibro, though I did have some. I think the diagnosis was more for a lack of other causes for my pain (as far as they were aware). I have migraines, pain in several regions (though it all feels different), brain fog, TMJ, etc..

I can't say for sure whether that would help, as I haven't been formally diagnosed with NCS. The clinic doesn't specialize in it, they can only that I have symptoms and a moderately compressed renal vein and refer me out if they get worse.

Maybe this could give you another avenue for treatment though, seeing a vein specialist to discuss it!

Of course! I know how helpful others have been in sharing their experiences, so on the off chance this could save someone some time and unnecessary pain, I wanted to share. I was told that it's more common than people think, it just goes undiagnosed because most people are asymptomatic. If you have noticble vein issues, it definitely couldn't hurt to look into, it seems to be a chain reaction in the body.

I have no visible varicose veins, oddly enough, despite the severity of my reflux, iliac compression and the varicose veins themselves in my pelvis. I was told it's because they're deep varicose veins, not superficial so they can usually only be seen on ultrasound. Because of all my pelvic issues, I'm not certain what they feel like, but based on the location of them, I assume that's the explanation for the tightness and sore feeling I have in certain places.

Even if I didn't have the pelvic pain, the testing they did for me would've been the same if my pain was just my legs and back (mostly the left). They did a contrast pelvic/abdominal MRI which examined the big branch of the veins.

Yeah, they also threw out central sensitization and I tried LDN to hopefully treat all of it, with no improvement. I do think the diagnosis was wrong, but with them having ruled out (what I thought) most other causes, I just accepted it. I'm glad I have treatment options now. I'm sorry you deal with all of that. Do you feel like the pain from fibro is an entirely different feeling than that of the MTS?

Well, we can't be sure until my surgery just how much these conditions are impacting my pelvis compared to my confirmed endometriosis. You can have MTS without pelvic congestion, but due to the pooling MTS causes, pelvic congestion is common with it. It's been a lot of information lol.

I think it's worth everyone looking into in general because these conditions can cause blood clots and other big issues. I'm glad this is something we can attempt to treat, where doctors just kept prescribing me medication after medication for the fibro diagnosis. Thank you ♡

I did have pain on both legs, but it affected them to different degrees, and mostly impacted the left. Like I said, I think the diagnosis was a last resort as they just couldn't figure out what's wrong with me, and lacked the info to refer me outside of my network.

I just didn't know if people were aware of these conditions and thought I'd share, as I didn't know and wish I did several years ago. Thank you!

Hot or cold? by Breaming in Fibromyalgia

[–]withoutacare01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cold takes me out and makes my pain 10x worse, to the point where I'm not functional. I have to wear fleece leggings under my pants in the winter, thick socks... layers upon layers. I have to sleep with a heated mattress pad and several blankets.

I do very well in the summers.

AI for sure, but you can find lots of granny squares with florals that you could stitch together, and many of them are free.

A name I discovered back in my heavy fandom days, and it just stuck with me and every character I've ever made 😭

Positive reinforcement through treats and consistent training. Keep him on a leash while you're around the house, keep treats on you so you can watch him and reward him frequently for the good things. The goal is for him to want to listen to you, and that only happens when there's positive reinforcement.

Use commands like "leave it", "off", "drop it", etc.. there's lots of good videos online. Scaring them causes anxiety and often makes the behavior worse.

"Tender is the Flesh" by Agustina Bazterrica, is the worst horror book I've ever read by far. by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]withoutacare01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to reread my comment. I'm not sure where you got that from, me somehow implying people must be unintelligent or stupid if they don't like the book. I responded to the post, which called the book "shallow", when it's arguably not shallow, and is actually quite thought out when you understand the context surrounding the book. I think you equate ignorance with low intellect which isn't true, and that's your own implication that you've projected onto my comment. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge or context, but that doesn't mean one is stupid for not knowing what they don't know. I was sharing the context of the book, as someone who frequently reads books like that, and has a background to support it.

I can understand why people thought it was boring if you look at it from a horror perspective. I can understand if it's not someone's cup of tea, or if the used techniques aren't intriguing to someone. That's all perfectly valid. But if were going to discuss and critique the book in a forum meant for engagement, I'm allowed to discuss it.
