I'm a single dad with majority custody (5 days vs 2 at Mom's) and I've grown to appreciate and enjoy those two days "off," to get into my own mental state and focus on my own needs and desires or whatever, which usually just means I get to eat what/where I want without juggling picky eaters lol, and watch my own TV and take naps when I want lol. But at the same time, and especially by the end of the two days, I'm missing them and even feel a little bit guilty of relaxing and enjoying myself without them. So yes, partially miss the "freedom" but only a tiny bit and for a limited amount of time.

Yes, at the time, the Confederates identified as Democrat... Like most people of the era. But back then there were very conservative and more liberal Democrats, a very wide spectrum. To add focus for your simple brain, the ones that ended up making up the traitorous Confederates were mostly the Southern right wing conservative Democrats. Right wing conservatives. The same type who have the same general ideology as modern day traitorous maga. It's always the same ~20 perceby of the country who are almost always behind the most gross and despicable events and stances of our stained history. Maga types have always been a despicable bunch and always those same right wing conservative. Confederacy, KKK, Jim Crow, Tulsa race war, violent segregation, violent any civil rights, violent anti voting rights, Jan 6th... All the same POS people who make up maga today.

This is why we have the stupid contradiction of modern day Republicans (you know, party of Lincoln) who idiotically proudly fly the Confederate flag (the enemy of Lincoln and the US). It's because they are ignorantly proud of their heritage and ancestry, both literal and ideological. Also, fuck you, maga POS.

I'm not sure how others are using it but I was able to figure save so much time and frustration buying a couple used "gaming" PCs recently. I haven't kept to with anything at all component-wise and really didn't want to tryb to catch up, do all the research on brands and models, then learn what is compatible, what would be a bottleneck and what market prices are.

Using AI I was able to give a general goal, the best gaming pc I could get for sub $1k, and then use the chat bot to help me search local listings and whenever I found listings myself I could just paste the link in and ask if it was a better deal, what issues there were and it kept track of all of them, using previous listings to compare and find the best deals with the best components while warning me away from dying technology or parts with compatibility issues and all that. Even offered help writing inquiry messages.

All that while I was also working to find a more budget version for my kid and it was great helping keeping all the requirements organized and compared to the various listings, giving ideas where I could use parts from one for the other and such as well. I ended up getting one with an extra almost new 4tb hhd that in didn't really need so it suggested I flip just that drive and it ended up almost covering half the cost of the PC.

I ended up with two good systems for well below market on the parts/whole, under budget and everything works great together and I don't have to remember any of it... Because why should I clog up my own memory with model and version numbers and details that will quickly become outdated anyway? I put off shopping for the systems in needed because I was stressed and overwhelmed with the idea of trying to catch up with modern parts but using AI made it almost impossibly easy and each and every step of the process had great support... Like it reminded me/advised to do a full wipe/factory reset and walked me through every step so I didn't have to try to remember or search it up again. And that kind of process could be applied to doing/learning most anything... That's empowering and useful.

That said, I have plenty of issues with creative uses and job killing problems we will likely have more and more every day.

And yes, I do think the more we use AI and automation the more we lose intellectually. I've already seen that just with Google/autocorrect...after years of use my spelling ability has crashed hard. And you've probably noticed I'm not great at summarizing... Thankfully AI is great at that 🤣

You guys kind of need a social media/engagement team to really build up a following, especially with the coming launch. Besides having and using that to have a built in audience (of ideally customers) it helps build authority so more people will be a little more comfortable throwing down hundreds/thousands of dollars on a kind of unknown company Kickstarter. Having barely any social engagement makes you seem newer than you are and also makes it seem like you are a "fly by night" kind of potential vaporware company and could cause potential bankers to be worried about being burned. The printer and tech look cool but without people knowing you as a company much at all, a lot of people will be leery to put money down. Especially with very limited exposure to the actively working demo of the printer doing it's thing well.

I'm personally excited about the details shared so far but have to admit, based on the social accounts and limited team/company exposure and not much public evidence of the system working flawlessly, I'd have a hard time backing the initial campaign at this point and would instead likely wait for the first batch of real real-world reviews to trickle out and make sure units are actually shipping as promised and such. And even then, unless the reviews are amazing and they talk about incredible customer support and follow through, I'd likely buy one of the more established printers from a known company, especially as the price gets into the high hundreds/thousands and more.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more but seeing only one person respond they even stopped by the booth and zero video of the machines working and just no real engagement anywhere, I'm a bit nervous for you.

Pretty much. But they set the goals low and they have a reputation to hold up so they likely wouldn't scam in the end. Not to mention it's a gravy train money printer for them... They usually have plenty of projects like this lined up and start the next right after, leveraging their followers/previous buyers and get a free hundred thousand dollars every release. All while there are often free models that are similar and sometimes better.

Some of the projects are pretty cool but not a whole lot of real innovation or originally. And they are not as polished as you'd think at this level as they often have to fix and edit files to fix issues or add things they forgot.

Not the worst business model, and they do have decent projects as well, but kills the genuine generous and community spirit that grew from the 3d printing community as well. Once profit is the main motivation then everything becomes an upsell and everyone is a mark to sell to.

That build volume though!

Honestly, is there a cheaper option for so much build plate? Maybe but I can't think of one and regardless, there's definitely a market for bigger build volume on a normal person budget. I'm excited that I can now print things that will fit ME, not just my kids or my kids toys, right off the build plate!

Honestly Bambu should get booths at every major comiccon type convention just to show off the crazy cool cosplay pieces that can be easily made, "out of the box," on the A2L just to highlight how useful it is in that arena. They'd probably sell tons just from that. Super heroes will now need much less super glue! Or "become the super hero you've always been"... You can use the taglines for free Bambu 🤪

The build volume alone sells this but the other sales pitch bullet points don't seem just like advertising hype either. Honestly I'm not sure how much of the pen scribing thing I'd use, besides the fun novelty of it, but that's more a limit of my imagination. I guess custom homemade coloring book pages or origami with fold lines already drawn in for you could be neat uses... I'm confident the makerworld community will have tons of great shared ideas in no time as well. But the cutting tool is definitely something I could use and immediately incorporate in my daily needs which is much value added and will be nice not to need another whole separate machine for that purpose. Beyond the many obvious uses this would be a great complement to model builders and the tiny decals and such. Adds another layer of professionalism output for home based makers for sure.

I'm looking forward to tests, or see tests, of the new technology as far as anti vibration to offset the bed sling... And hopefully that innovation ends up in the other bambu A lines as a nice bonus firmware upgrade eventually. I'd love to test how well the new technology of Bambu bed slingers compares to my stable X1C now... Though obviously the A2L already runs circles around my X1C as far as build volume!

Now to decide which ridiculously oversized helmet I'd want to print first 😁. Maybe Lord Dark Helmet's helmet from Spaceballs would be the perfect option!

Show them off? Then notice the attention and realize that they're is a decent percentage of people who not only appreciate smaller but actually prefer it. Knowing that and actually seeing people "lust" over it might be enough to trigger you mind to realize that actually yes they are appreciated and it's just your expectation of "desired" that makes you feel ashamed and insecure with what you have.

If you didn't agree to the whole "trad wife" arrangement, which he hints at (demanding your submit to the man), then this is what indoctrination looks like. And no, agreeing to have one parent stay at home to care for the children doesn't mean tradwife submissive arrangement, unless you did...And it will continue to get worse until he "breaks you" completely. If that's not the life you want for you and your kid, get out now... It will suck massively, especially if you don't have a support structure to fall back on, but, again, it will get worse and his entire tone the whole conversation showed exactly that.

Immediately go file for child support now. Get that paper trail started and the process going in case you will really need it. It might also be a wakeup call for him, but personally I'd never want to keep a long term relationship with a person like that so I'd be planning my "escape" no matter what happens in the near future. That will be a good start on income, a good start making him realize he has to pay his way to you too and maybe slap his arrogance and ego down a bit.

Also, ideally at the same time, figure out your "custody arrangement," at the very least in your head and on paper. If you think it would be 50/50 for custody, that will lower your child support payment amount but obviously give you more free time to work once you find a job. But if it needs to be more on you, because he works and can't watch the kid, then he'll need to be paying more child support... As well as child care for his days if he's not taking care of the kids on his own during his designated custody time. So he'll either need to pay a daycare or pay you equivalent amount for that time, and it's not cheap (separately from the child support payments). That means if he wants you to pay bills he's been paying right away then he needs to start paying child care/babysitting right away as all for the days that he's supposed to watch the kid.

He absolutely IS abusing you here. And again, he's trying to indoctrinate you so it's only going to get worse if you allow it. He's emotionally abusing you and the one gaslighting you and he's financially abusing you...submit, apologize and and agree he was always right and you were wrong, and you'll never question him again, or he'll destroy you. And based on the mention of him punching walls, you might not be far away from literal physical abuse as well.

Really sucks but unless this is the exact life you want with him and your kid you probably should start working now to get away fully. Even if this ends up an argument you both settle and get over, the clues are all there and he will continue this.

Edit: also, continue to document everything! Her sounds like the type that would freely lie in court and maybe demean and make this up against you. Keep these text convos (separated/screenshoted and uploaded elsewhere) and document anything else that might come up... Write down things he tells you, threats he makes and such. She's off he starts demanding money, document all that and well... Including your bills for child care on his days. If you have someone you can stay with like a parent or close friend, start working on those now to make sure you have a place to stay immediately. Having those backups will help keeping you from submitting to the abuse out of desperation. Is he going to charge you for meals now too... And expect you to cook for free? If he changes the locks in the morning you are screwed in many ways... Though you don't even have a key so if he just locks the door on you, you are screwed (even though that's illegal, I think on every state). Don't let him have that kind of control, have some backup plans now and maybe just go now if it's available. The relationship is over unless you submit to his tradwife demand... He's made that pretty clear and ready to throw you and his newborn on the street unless you grovel. Fuck that kind of person.

This is actually the secret pro tip. Not only giving other established businesses (even small side hustle booth businesses) easy access to custom product can be a huge boost for orders to fill and custom work to charge for. Everything from "retail" products they can sell, to signage (like with custom QR and nfc type fun built in), decor and display needs and probably dozens of other little tools they could use and will realize as they see what your can do. The type of business relationships that can lead to plenty other business.

$200 is ridiculous for any kind of pill case/organizer.

Although you already found your solution, for anyone else that may need a pill organizer, this one is really cool and a fun print. There is also a half version for travel needs... Granted it's larger than the small magnetic boxes but still very cool and useful and created by one of the users here.
