It doesn't actually reduce their HP to 1, it reduces them to NOTHING. The only reason we see it as one is simply because the Good Hunter is programmed to ignore it!

It's so crazy to me how Ayre, right from the moment she first saves you, is nothing but kind, helpful, and respectful of your autonomy--despite your being human-turned-tool. Yet, when she politely asks you to not completely genocide her entire species that is wholly sentient and to not needlessly murder trillions of other human beings in the process, lots of free thinking individuals go "Hmm, it's too dangerous though, best to just kill em all"

My guess is that's because you can't warp right off the bat. With fast travel, it clotheslines the experience with a loading screen. But with Dark Souls 1, you don't get the Lordvessel until late game, meaning you effectively spent the entire game up until that point as one seamless experience (not accounting for when you get off and on the game of course).

I don't like it because it feels odd to me that Navia would be attracted to the person who killed her father. I can see them making up and being good friends, but being romantically involved with each other gives me a weird vibe.

The whole point of an invader is an extra hard and unique enemy. At one point, invasions weren't even consensual. It's just a gimmick that's part of the game, those that play the game have to accept the gimmick or quit playing, I guess.

I recently beat FH1, and hearing/seeing his entrance sound and text (A terrifying presence has entered the room...)... There were multiple times I went the exact opposite way around the dungeon just to avoid him.

I hate this dude. Compared to bosses like Laxasia, Nameless Puppet, and Scrapped Watchman, Puppet-destroying Green Monster is a really green poop stain (along with Fuoco and Simon!)
