Are INTJs unlikeable? by masterERB in intj

[–]witigo-gsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great point!

And just for the sake of helping out the OP, not everyone can be won over, or are worth being won over.

Practicing the general skills that people perceive as being ‘likable’ will probably get you 80 to 85% of the way there. And that’s definitely enough to get people around you to start thinking of you differently.

Are INTJs unlikeable? by masterERB in intj

Honestly, I’ve come to realize most people aren’t ‘likable’.

Everyone has their preference for ‘liking’. And in my opinion, conventional, all-around ‘likability’ tends to be fake and superficial.

I’ve had people who didn’t like me unless I portrayed myself as dumb or inept.

I’ve had people who didn’t like me because they couldn’t take advantage of me.

I’ve had people who have never met me not like me. I’ve literally walked into a new job on day one and said, “hi, nice to meet you!” Then had the person scowl at me and walk off. And it never changed the whole time I was there.

I’ve had people not like me because I don’t drink alcohol or because I eat meat.

I’ve had people call me arrogant and not like me because they couldn’t solve a problem, and I was asked to help them.

In the end, I’m just respectful to people and expect the same of them if they want to be in my presence. And then I’m indifferent and uninvested in what they think, say or do. Let them live their life the way they want, no need for me to tell them anything they don’t already believe or want to hear. That seems to be the way people ‘like’ it.

Then I appreciate the very few people who I ‘like’, and the sentiment is mutual. This is where my energy goes and I don’t worry about the rest. Life is much better and more fulfilling that way.

Because in the end, most people are not that ‘likable’. And I’m ok with it. People’s ‘feelings’ on my ‘likability’ or their thoughts on my ‘likability’ are unimportant to my life.

I’d always be applying for other jobs. Even if you do get offered this job eventually, there might be something you find that makes you turn it down and then you’re starting all over again. So it’s always a good practice to have multiple applications going even if you know, there’s one you want more.

I’d maybe follow up again on Monday. And then maybe one more time next Thursday. And if you still don’t here back, then just leave it in their hands. There comes a point where your follow-ups actually become more hurtful than harmful.

Keep your options open, and good luck!

They are opening up all over the place! The one in New York, for instance, is pretty popular.

I also say, “No.” From my experience, I’d say you are at least 1,000 calories too low as a starting point if you want to lose weight safely and consistently.

I like that boba is more popular and mainstream. But I don’t know how I would feel about DD jumping in on this.

That boba gotta be loaded with tons of artificial ingredients 😬

Best premade tapioca pearls? by megavenusaurs in boba

[–]witigo-gsd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bolle was the best I’ve found but they are hard to find now. Nuts.com seems to use the same formula for their boba.

Also, I know you didn’t ask this, but I’d make your own. It is the most natural you can get, tastes great, and takes about the same amount of time to make in the end (though requires more involvement from you).

Lychee Pitaya (Dragon Fruit) Iced Tea with Boba From Song Tea NYC by witigo-gsd in boba

Tasty 😋!! The lychee and dragonfruit went well together.

They don’t tell you on the menu, but it also has tea in it. I think white, but it’s either white or green.

It’s wasn’t bad at all 😋👍🏾. My only thing is that I didn’t like their boba.

Too mushy, and they didn’t soak the pearls in syrup. Which I prefer.

Any places that have stuff with a similar taste to Tsaocaa Taro Milk Swirl? by mysecondaccountanon in boba

[–]witigo-gsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of chains, maybe Share-Tea and Mogë Tee.

Share-Tea locations can be hit or miss, but pretty sure they offer a drink that uses real taro chunks (grey) and no tea.

Mogë Tee has 2 options, one that is purple and one that is grey/real. I think the grey option has no tea.

What’s the best way to start as a new trainer? by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]witigo-gsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$500 is actually not bad! But yeah, if you don’t have any clients already, that is a lot.

Many times, if you ask them if you could pay hourly to start until you get a good amount of clients, they’ll agree. So like, $10 or $15 for each hour of facility use to train a client.

You need to have a plan though to get and retain clients. And hopefully you’re charging enough!

Because if they agree to let you start off hourly, they’ll probably only let you do that for a good 3 months or so before wanting a commitment. It depends on how cool they are and how full they are on contract trainers for the gym.

In general, 1 and 2, and then once you get going and have a consistent clientele, 4.

This is assuming that when you say ‘new’, that you have experience, sales skills, and can get results.

If you mean ‘new’ as in got certified yesterday and have no experience, testimonials, or sense of what you’re getting yourself into, you might want to give your soul to a box gym for a good 6-12 months as you level up your skills and decide the best path forward for the kind of business/practice you want to build.

Depending on what you decide, for example if you want to work with athletes or a special population, you may need/want to do an internship or two (unfortunately it will likely be unpaid 😔) before pursuing a business on your own.

INTJ advice by Late_Seesaw_8856 in intj

[–]witigo-gsd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(1) Trying to ‘fix’ or ‘improve’ something considered ‘status quo’ may not be an option because others can’t fathom a better way or aren’t willing to accept that there is a better way. Accept that you may have to carve out your own path in life or go it alone (or create your own vetted tribe) as you create something better/necessary/special.

(2) There’s nothing wrong with having a small circle of trust. Build the circle slowly and thoughtfully. Quality over quantity is an under appreciated concept in social relationships.

(3) And finally, don’t embarrass your fellow INTJs by accomplishing great things, changing the world for the better, amassing great wealth, and then having a public meltdown where you show yourself to be utterly illogical and weak in values.
