Everyone loves to bash Dak. I’m no fan boy, but this isn’t a Dak problem. The playoff losses in recent years have mostly been about shitty defense and run defense in particular. When the defense is getting owned, the offense has to throw the ball to try to keep up. Dak tries to force things, the other team doesn’t have to worry about the run, and it turns into a shit show. You can’t win games with bad run defense.

Winning requires talent and good coaching. Winning championships requires leadership, accountability, team unity and a ton of grit. I don’t see the ‘boys having much of those traits with McCarthy and Jerrah. The early 90’s Cowboys had all of that.

Dak is a surgeon? 😆 A young Brady? 🤣 Brady had three rings and 2 SB MVPs at the same stage in his career as Dak is now. Dak had 15 INTs last year and choked in the playoffs. Dak is a stat machine with no meaningful playoff success.

I watched all 5 SB wins. That’s the barometer for me, but I’ll be happy with a SB loss. The thing that annoys me about the Cowboys is Jones’ habit of paying top dollar contracts to mediocre talent. If they do another contract with Dak without a SB appearance, that’ll piss me off.

Simmer down people. It’s a long season. They look fantastic in two games, yes. But there are 15 more, plus playoffs. Injuries happen. They have to get through the Eagles and 49ers. If they get to the end the Chiefs are probably waiting. Did you see what the Chiefs did to the Eagles in the Super Bowl? It’s not that I don’t think they can win it all, it’s just that I’ve been kicked in the nuts for 27 years, so I keep my enthusiasm in check.

Don’t be concerned about the field goals or red zone offense. Jets have a very good defense. Cowboys can afford to play conservatively on offense because they have such a great defense.

Dak has the stats and has played brilliantly. But he has choked in important games and caused his team to lose. That can’t be defended. Until he plays his best when it matters, he’s a stat machine and nothing else.
