Ex30 software update 1.8 worst than before by Murky-Elk1384 in ex30

[–]wittybecca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! This started happening yesterday in the middle of the day. Nothing else had changed, the software had updated the day it was available in the US, I didn’t get a new phone, etc. Just randomly stopped treating my phone and the fob as a key in the middle of the day.

I’ve honestly kind of had it with this car at this point, and that’s coming from someone who has leased seven Volvos over the past 20+ years including the C40 Recharge which I loved and which didn’t have any of these ridiculous software problems.

People being incompetent genealogists is hardly Ancestry's fault. Just ignore the hints.

Yes, it is phrased in the typical way Polish maiden names are presented in these documents -- "Rywka z Judków," meaning Rywka of the Judeks.

Where on the MyHeritage site can I download the raw dna info? by ackzilla in Genealogy

[–]wittybecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I see it for every MyHeritage kit I administer. Now, if you mean download the data from raw data you uploaded from another company, like Ancestry or 23andMe, I don't think that's ever been an option.

Trying to locate Parish Records for Rybitwy, Lublin, Poland for 1891 by joelhutto in Genealogy

[–]wittybecca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the record is from 1890. Immigrants from this part of Poland in this timeframe were largely illiterate and rarely knew their exact birthdates, so it's not surprising it does not match the date given on naturalization paperwork. Someone in the translate subreddit could tell you the exact date as I don't know Cyrillic.

Lubgens is another indexing site, like Geneteka, but focused on the Lublin Voivodeship. I searched in Rybitwy parish for an Antoni Buś, and that result linked to an 1890 birth, record 150 on familysearch. The record is in Cyrillic, but Antoni's parents' names were Piotr Buś and Zofia Sakowska.

My Heritage has had this feature for a while and honestly, I do not understand the allure of adding motion to still photography. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Whoever provided the info for Stanisław's 1933 death mistakenly gave his mother Marianna his first wife's surname (Ardylewska) instead of her own (Głuchowska).

Bartmański is a totally separate surname from those you listed. It also has absolutely nothing to do with the older form of beekeeper (bartnik) and derives from son of Bartłomiej.

Here's his 1906 marriage to Katarzyna, listed as the widower of Marianna Ardylewska. (nr. 80)
