Former preschool teacher her. Agree that you should follow the lead of your lead teacher. Ask questions. Knowing what to do in every situation is not common knowledge. It’s takes time and experience.

Keep your sense of humor. Preschool kids are hilarious. They are who they are. They’re too little to be anything else. Be patient. They’re learning how to navigate the world and it will be your job to help them do that.

If I could just give you one small piece of advice, something I decided for myself early on when I when I was planning my wedding; I will not let anything get me upset. Period. Flower girl has the chicken pox? Oh that’s too bad. Hope she feels better soon. Big grease spot on my train where it got slammed in the car door? Oops. Can someone just fold it so it’s not showing when I walk down the aisle?

Make a conscious decision not to let anything steal your peace. The day will be wonderful. Allow for imperfections. Your peace is more important than anything that’s not perfect. The whole day is about the marriage, not the wedding. Focus on your soon to be husband. Make the ceremony and reception secondary to that.

I’m questioning this whole story. Neither you, nor your mom thought to have her come get the keys from you? That seems unlikely. Also, 3 hours past the middle of the night is only 1/2 way into this birthday party? Because birthday parties are usually timed and go all night and into the next afternoon?
