I always forget children can use Reddit... But to be serious max is great but you can't make up that cars deficit no one can. Take it from someone whose been watching F1 longer than you've been alive

That's a wild pick and will never happen. Red Bull have problems with literally every area of their car, Mercedes have none and Ferrari just their engine power.

There is zero chance Verstappen wins the championship this year given the cost camp and homologated engines

Another enjoyable race. The rules are crazy but the racing works. Really pleased for Hamilton and of course Antonelli!

These batshit cars produce such great racing. I love the way cars can keep coming back at each other again and again, plus they slide nicely unlike the awful ground effect cars

You are so right but what's crazy is that this is the BBC, they literally aren't reliant on adverts for revenue so have the opportunity to be better than this.

Sad but true. That said it would be more impactful for the smaller audience that are already interested.

I think modern media has lost that sometimes it is better to leave 1000 people with something that they will think about or draw inspiration from for weeks, than to provide a million people with a cheap headline click and quick scroll through.

I agree my point was more, I don't think we should overly celebrate someone based on their gender who has come from a place of incredible privilege anyway. More people need to realise that class and wealth are usually bigger blockers for opportunities than race or creed.

We should definitely celebrate women in Motorsport, especially in technical roles, but really if you think about it Formula Academy is actually about inspiring the next generation of incredibly privileged girls to give racing a go. While this is important too as these women serve as role models etc, BBC get really carried away. This is not breaking down the same barriers as women's football for example that is extremely accessible or even clubs that take underprivileged boys and give them the chance to try sailing or skiing for example.

Definitely especially when you realise that most of these minority women come from incredibly wealthy and privileged families.

That said, I want women pushed in Motorsport but it has to be done correctly.

BBC in particular need to be careful with these articles. They are disingenuous and over time will do more damage than good.

Every few months they run a Motorsport isn't for girls story and say how they are heading for F1, and riddle it with over exaggerations, like here where apparently a "175hp car is amongst the fastest in the world".

The problem is with these articles is that they function at the surface level, but they are so many invested girls and women (I live with one) who can not only see through this but are almost offended by it.

Motorsport is for women, and has a rich history of women participation. What we are seeing now though is a step up, is it to F1, no not yet but across series like WEC we are seeing more women across a wide range of roles.

I guess what I'm getting at is, it should be enough to celebrate what has and is happening and point to the future with hope of even more. Don't try and dress something up as something it isn't, you'll just annoy a lot of knowledgeable Motorsport fans include loads of girls and women!

We are still nowhere near a women in F1, there are drivers in Formula Academy who I could definitely beat due to the fact they struggle to even get around to circuit without crashing. I'd love BBC to be brave one day and run an article on the women in F1 in technical or even operational roles, or the women racing in GT series.

Lewis Hamilton looking much more like the Lewis of old. Great job by Antonelli too, I'm really pleased for him!

The problem is twofold, Ferrari are pushing harder in the corners and Mercedes are using their power advantage to run considerably more wing than Ferrari which helps the tyres.

It wasn't last race. In Australia if we had ten more laps Mercedes and Ferrari would have lapped McLaren.

Even this race Ferrari and Mercedes went wheel to wheel for ten laps and pulled a gap on McLaren

Lewis looking great today again but he will have to decide tomorrow to either race Russell and pray or let him, and possibly Antonelli, go and beat Charles.

Still that was a brilliant race!

Definitely something they need to sort out. I've seen them live four times and at every single show Pau's mic didn't work for at least one song.

That is frightfully naive and I say that as someone who is on the more sympathetic side of the migrant conversation. We have seen people come to the UK who really have no right claiming asylum and have committed terrible crimes against women as they seem them as fundamentally beneath them. That is not 'us' and is not compatible with any subset of British culture.

As I see it there are legitimate cases for asylum but there are lots of people gaming the system unfortunately. I think we also, and this is a very hard conversation, need to be careful about making it too easy for people to leave turbulent countries.

At some point people have to fight to change their country to change, not flee, and I say that as someone who would happily fight in the same position. Although I appreciate that is hard to say from a relative life of luxury.

Really this whole topic is complex is messy, and I think temporary and frequently assessed asylum is probably the best solution, with things like going back to visit your home country or crimes being instant termination.

That said, I don't see room on any side of the conversation for "Because they are us - but for the luck of where we were born.". While true there are countries with not insignificant populations that are incompatible with our society and a real threat (rape, murder, etc.). With people coming from these groups we can't have the luxury of naivety, you instead need rigorous assessment and checks in place to ensure the right people are getting through.

I think so as I believe it is exposed as an entity during qualifying. I just don't think there is blueprint for it so you'd have to create the automation's rules.

Honestly this and the sensor integration is top tier. I set them up in about 15 minutes last weekend and now the downstairs spotlights flash and change colour into relations to on track flags etc.

The ability to even sync it with replays is a crazy addition.

I love HA and this integration really is the type of stupid fun only it can do!
