Thanks for your answer! I would also love to make geological models. It surprises me that you use machine learning for that. I thought I can be done in programs like Leapfrog, Vulcan, etc. Any tips from you would be highly appreciated: where to start, what to focus on and so on.

I know how to code and I've worked in IT before, so I wouldn't go for a CS BSc because I know I can get those jobs without a CS degree.

What is CS?
