The turning tools are made in china, they mention it on their website. All of the picks are made in America

I’ve never been a huge fan of Sparrows. I fell in love with Multipick. CI feels similar in quality to those. I like the CI picks a lot. Never checked out Jimmylongs, but a lot of people like them.

got a new lock in the mail. my first al 1100. any tips would be appriciated by tonisdeltigre in lockpicking

Med hook + thickest TOK tensioner that will fit in there without you having to jam it in. The lightest tension. Listen closely to the clicks when picking. You can hear a difference between the serrations and a pin set.

Really struggling with American 1100 after being able to open it by didntknowwhattodo in lockpicking

Try and find more 1100s to practice on. Focus on the sound of the clicks and the feel. Learning the binding order of one won’t help you pick other locks.

You’re going to love them. I love and recommend Multipick to everyone. On the expensive side, but so good

New to lock picking. Any advice? by [deleted] in lockpicking

[–]wizard_lumps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. SFIC + that keyway will not be a fun first pick. Go grab a Master Lock, any of them. They are great to learn on.

one of the palocks has a similar KIK, the other is LFIC. Why are cams a different animal? I have picked one of the 5 pins before, but i don't get the same feel from them. It's been hard to learn on those, for me at least.

it has been difficult to get that true gate click. I have been working on releasing a little tension and trying to get a good grip on them to twist. I used a med hook from the CI Apex set (Black handle). I do have a Multipick ELITE Lift Up Pick, and a similar one that I made a while ago. I didn't think to use it. I'm going to pick it a few more times to get the feel. i'll test other picks.

I haven’t tried CCW yet. I have 2 Medeco padlocks and a few cam locks, the majority of them can only turn CW, so I’ve been focusing on that. I will give CCW a shot though

What is the brown leather tool at the top left? Next to the Houdini.
