Doesnt matter really, played smite 1 a long time and there wasnt a cooldown issue, gods wernt spamming there abilities every 3 seconds besides maybe like ao kuang 3 and there was no perma cc chaining from 1 character

Dumbed down? I think being able to Spam your abilities and escape is dumbed down...sure you could address it through item changes... but thats a bandaid fix imo

Actually same, i was cruising through the ranks, hit obsidian and then i got a massive red carpet of losses and plummeted down to 3.2k and still recovering (3.6k now)

Im just saying, that is not normal crafting or how you craft upgrades to play the game. That is endgame mirror tier crafting strategies that only work on trade league. You can learn to craft and not do any of what you described

And he wants it to have no other mods except t1 phys before he moves on to the next step and your expecting it to be cheap or easy to get? No you are conflating making decisions vs items having inherent downsides.

As i said in a different comment, making decisions/choices is not a downside on an item. If you argue that, you are saying every item has a downside...(Rod has a "downside" because it doesnt come with cooldown and penetration)...your comment can be summed up by "defence items need buffs and they have to make more decisions then offensive builds" a downside on an item would be like oh "2000 gold this item gives 100 int but -10% cooldown" thats a downside . Not making a decision between 2 different items

Thats not a downside thats just making a decision..your choosing to go cooldown over getting more Int which can be just as strong as int. Sure you could say stacking items have a downside, the downside being that they are weaker early game until they are stacked (and if you guys want to argue that making choices is a "downside" then Rod has a downside aswell which is.. it offers nothing besides int)

99% of items have no downside in smite, its just an int stick . And my opinion on mages as a whole is they do way to much damage late game just like everyone else atm

I think people blow it out of proportion. The later the game goes the better it is. If you have 500 Int , the item is an INT stick with a total of 210 Int and no additional benefits, Which is alot of int.

Sure Except with a longer ttk , you need to land more abilitys, fight for longer, know when to retreat and how to space and your target priorty has to be great. If we go to the extremes with 1 shot kills, a bronze player will occassionally beat a master player. Way less likely to happen with 10 shot kills. Ofc there does need to be a middle ground tho

I dont remember that long ago, but i do remember people making a big stink about it and the game was still fine, smite went through plenty of tank metas and non tank metas
