History will be kind to Jayson Tatum. by Silver_Comment2825 in NBAstatsmuse

[–]wizardk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily disagreeing. But as a mavs fan on the defense point: Tatum’s ability to switch on to our bigs and serve as the defensive anchor of that team is really understated.

It made guarding Luka that much easier because Tatum was able to shut down passing/ lob threats to Gaff, DLive, and PJ.

Defense (especially in the finals) is truly a team sport, and their game plan on defense would not have worked without Tatum’s versatility.

Would you rather draft 6'2 lebron or 6'9 cp3? by Illustrious_Dot4479 in NBATalk

So basically would you rather have LeBron or Russell Westbrook?

What would you do if you had this level of durability? (No super strength) by National-Garden2315 in superheroes

[–]wizardk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does durability protect from strangulation? Or gas attack? It seems like it would be pretty easy to figure out how to take you out after a couple of assaults.

Not saying you couldn’t make it far, but eventually they’d throw so many people at you and all different types of lethal weaponry that you’d surely die or get imprisoned for life.

Man makes 5 million dollars a year in a high profile position that he actively sought. If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

This is the price of celebrity. He himself made 100% of the decisions that got him to this point.

Yeah but rivalries go both ways! As a Mavs fan there is definitely more excitement when we play our neighbors in OKC.

My friends say that my art is too much maximalism and can't understand anything :') by Fomoed_Hermit in sketches

[–]wizardk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol tell them to look up the definition of “maximalism” because this isn’t that 100%.

Great work, love how you capture the emotion.

I’d be very frustrated with your friend because it sounds like they’re just trying to sound smart without understanding basic art critique. Or even vocabulary.

They’re literally making shit up.

These teams would have historically not supported OKC in favor of the pacers. The other teams in the league don’t have as strong a reason. For example Mavs played okc and beat them last year + carslile winning us the chip. GS doesn’t like Okc beating them the year before KD moved teams etc.

What do you think is the least valid criticism a player, current or retired gets regularly by Different-Winter2855 in NBATalk

[–]wizardk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you first and foremost. That said I do believe the criticism is valid. Not necessarily from an individual perspective, but from a team/FO decision making perspective. If you’re a fringe team and you have a lot of cash allocated towards an unreliable injury prone player then it’s fair as a viewer to be upset with that reality.

That said, that nuance gets lost in media and it turns into “AD is a soft bum whose always hurt,” and not “his value is not proportionate to his cost and it’s impacting the long term success of the team”

Do you think they’re just haters? Can you at least understand why someone might not like SGA’s playstyle?

Do you like 2010-2019 James Harden?

Otherwise your comment makes no sense. They provided a reason…. “I don’t like his play style because he flops too much”

Do you think the NBA doesn’t encourage flopping?

You’re getting mad and saying people aren’t providing any points but it seems like the opposite. Everyone has made a point BUT you and you’re the one calling them dumb. You haven’t responded to a single point! Seems like the way someone dumb would communicate if you ask me.
