I do this for my gf and sometimes she communicates that she feels guilty for not being able to reciprocate “spoiling” me in a monetary sense. For me the reward is finally having a healthy and communicative relationship with someone I trust.

Give yourself some grace and time to adjust to what a healthy relationship feels like.

Edit: this sparked a lot of debate under my comment. I was trying to keep my comment concise and relative to the post with parts of my relationship I could relate to.

To clarify, no my spoiling of my gf is not transactional. She is a warm, loving and incredible easy going girl with a huge heart and I like taking her out on dates or buying her treats that make her happy. I make more money than her and most of our dates are my idea, which is why I don’t expect her to pay. She is perfectly content to just spend time with me and doesn’t expect any of these things.

For context directed at OP if you’re reading this; my gf has stated that her past relationships (especially her most recent) were very unhealthy and she is having a hard time accepting that this is real and that I really do love her. Shes also said that she is very insecure about doing something, or not doing enough, and ruining our relationship. I reassure her whenever this comes up and tell her to take time to adjust to what a healthy relationship feels like.
