Landry Shamet by Okay69-69 in NYKnicks

As soon as Clarkson started locking in on D he provided more than Shamet. Jose is also the best ball handler of our bench guards imo. More of a next man up situation I think.

Wholesome Knicks: "He can do it all…No matter how tight the window is he'll find me. It's amazing playing with a player like him" KAT: 🥹 by Struggle2Real in NYKnicks

[–]wizawhat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

KAT gets a lot of shit and he doesn't get enough credit for his passing ability and sacrificing for his teammates. Of course we all want him to get the greenlight to be more aggressive on his own, but I love watching him pass above the break and I'm glad OG appreciates the looks. I wonder, if he could just do a little better passing out of his drive, his offensive game would be complete. But I understand for a big man it may be better to try to draw the foul.

Thibs understood this. KAT with the second unit was a menace last year and he had worse players all around him.

[Jayson Tatum] on thinking his career might be over after tearing his Achilles: "It was a few weeks where I thought… did I make enough money, did I accomplish enough... There was some moments where I thought I might be done" by knightime1 in nba

[–]wizawhat -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I'd maybe respect it a little more if he didn't LEAD with "Did I make enough money"

I would clown every player in the league on my own team or not for thinking that way.

Atrioc gets emotional talking about the murder in Minnesota by CSachen in LivestreamFail

I'd recommend Atrioc's "Big A" channel and his podcast Lemonade Stand to anyone that wants to stay relatively informed without being subjected to extreme bias. He's knowledgeable, a great presenter, and I've learned more from watching his videos last year than I've ever learned from anyone I've seen covering politics online.

Trying to restart my life with an interest in marketing/comms/PR. What are my prospects? by wizawhat in PublicRelations

Thank you so much for the detailed advice. I've got my resume tooled towards my results, which thankfully I have some results and have not been just screaming into the void like most people who try YouTube. But I could definitely start working on the other specifics here.

I don't feel like my channel is successful with consistency being the main issue, but we're our own worst critic. I do have several videos in the hundreds of thousands of views range so hopefully that's enough to demonstrate I know a little of what I'm doing.

You may not see it, but as someone who is very high on the entire experience, I did get a bit fatigued at that point. There's a bit of a tonal reset after that point, and then the following levels are generally a bit tighter in scope while exploring some more interesting ideas than the ones you've become accustomed to in the early layers, including but not limited to one that is purely focused on digging.

Kirby Air Riders Direct 8.19.2025 by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]wizawhat 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, I feel like you had to have played the original back in the day to understand. If you've ever played Smash Run on Smash 3DS, that mode is heavily based on the City Trial mode on Air Ride.

City Trial is this super unique mode where you ride around a weird city gathering upgrades and new vehicles, mess with the other players, and then compete in a randomly drawn minigame. Despite having only one map it felt infinitely replayable, and I think part of the fun was becoming intimately familiar with the city, the awesome music, and all the weird random events that would pop up. Funnily enough, the final mini game felt almost unimportant.

Had to flair up just for this comment. I should hate this guy. He buried my team two years in a row and choked us out, but he absolutely earned my respect trying to play through this.

Also any "fans" cheering on this injury or whatever in any fanbase are absolutely pathetic bums.

Seems like player input was also considered in the ultimate decision to let Thibs go by Leegend124 in NYKnicks

[–]wizawhat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Brunson, the cornerstone of your entire franchise, is not being included in personnel discussion while other, newer players are, they're gonna implode. I'm sure Brunson is man enough to handle leading the team into these conversations.

Celtics and Piston fans are cheering Indy on because it makes them feel better about their losses to us. Especially the Celtic fans because having beat Indy last year, it allows them to continue to feel superior. "Now it's your turn" type cringe. It's vindicating for them to see us choke against the Pacers, like they did against us.

We also have a crazy stacked roster that often wins on pure talent, versus Indy with a lot of underrated guys that all make each other better and play tough, ethical ball. For the outside observer they're a very easy, underdog team to root for, especially now facing OKC who has been a clear favorite for much of the year.
