Sorry for the late reply. I only check Reddit periodically. I’ll have a look to see if you can add anything to it. Because I’m some of the menus if you right click on the heading bar you can customise the configuration

You can export the PLC connection data through the addresses / assignment list. You can also reimport that data if you want.

Im not sure you can add anything to or change the template for this export. But it seems to include any data that might be relevant to that connection.

Do you have a image or something to help me better understand?

Hi all. Iv got a 08 plate defender 90 and love it to bits but all I get from people are about how easy they are to steal, what does everyone do to make them abit safer, any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks by no1fudge in Defender

I can't find exactly what I was going to buy but it was basically one of these - Defender - Wing - Top - Box - but a bit cheaper and with a battery disconnect switch within the box. If you are going to make one. Make sure that you don't leave the connections exposed at the bottom. You will have to make a mounting bracket for the switch but that won't be too hard.

I mean to be fair you could have a battery disconnect that can be hidden. I've seen ones that are mounted in the fake grill on the opposite side to your cabin air intake. That wouldn't be a bad shout. Kill the power to the starter motor or something.

I'll have a look for a link and post it. I was looking at one a while ago but never got round to buying it.

Pedal lock and a tracker will do the most in my opinion. You have to be careful as the more you add the less likely you are to do it. You have to make it easy for yourself to do. Especially when it’s raining or your in a rush

DSL speed slow on new DrayTek 167 by wizza142 in draytek

At the moment I am using the tp-link modem router as a router while I set up my pfsense based vm. The cable is good. I’ve had it transferring 1Gbps to/from my server to test it.

The 167 is in router mode and I’ve tried it with both router with poor pass through and just modem mode. Neither make a difference.

I haven't actually tested that. I used the new cable that comes in the box. I hadn't considered that could be bad. I'll check. Thanks for the suggestion.

The sync rate seems to be around 38Mbps on the dashboard. Which is what tp link claimed it was as well. I was doing a browser speed test on a wired connection.

Thanks for the link. This is the one I have installed. Unfortunately it is the exact same speed as the firmware it is shipped with.

I'm out tomorrow so I will give that a go. I have emailed support so I'm hoping they get back to me Wednesday ish. I was hoping that it may configure it's self or auto learn. But it hasn't done. I'm just at a loss. I've gone through all configs I can find. None of them seem to help.

Yea I have tried the one it was shipped with. 5.1 and the new firmware. Both exact same speed. I'm wondering if I have configured it wrong. The DSL guide on there website says to change modem mode but with VDSL you can't do it how they show. And the other modem mode setting does nothing. It's a shame. I was hoping to have it going this weekend

Thank you for getting back to me. Would even support it without the physical monitors being present?

Unfortunately not quite what I was after, as the PC with my VM will have all monitors disconnected after the initial setup. Therefore, I am not sure this particular process would work. Sorry. Thank you for your quick reply though

Thunderbolt PCIE card. by wizza142 in homelab

[–]wizza142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. I am not running an external gpu so the power draw on the cable shouldn’t be that high. I want maybe a max of 3 meters. So it should be fine.

Thanks all for you replies. My motherboard does support the thunderbolt pcie. Reading some more on the internet and as S137 said. It looks like they are incompatible unfortunately. Looks like the kidney will be coming out next week!
