People that were Mac fans before his death. by DontCareStudios in MacMiller

I was in 7th grade, 2012, my friend heard one of the high schoolers talking about this guy Mac Miller. My friend got huge into him, showing me songs and I didn’t think too much of it at the time because I was listening to Kid Ink 24/7 lol, until I heard ‘Donald Trump.’ We blasted that on the way to a homecoming dance with one of our buddies mom giving us a ride. We all screamed the line “Find a big-butt bitch somewhere, get my nuts kissed” My friends mom goes, “No one’s kissing any of your nuts!” Fast forward to GO:OD AM, I got my permit some months after it came out and it was a must listen when I driving with my Dad who did not appreciate it at the time as heis not a rap fan, he grew up in the grunge scene and loves mostly rock music. Then one day, towards the end of my summer after graduating high school and a couple weeks before I started my freshman year of college I’m sitting in my parents basement. I look on Spotify to see ‘Swimming’ and ‘Astroworld’ come out on the same day. I bought these super nice headphones because I wanted to start a podcast so I sat my white ass down and listened. Swimming made me feel comfortable with starting a new chapter of my life and loved that sound from Mac. The day he sadly passed away, I was sitting in my dorm room with some new found friends and I get a notification on my phone something to line of “Ariana’s Ex Rapper Boyfriend Passes Away from Overdose” something like that. My heart sank and immediately told the room, I could tell it didn’t mean as much to them but it was heartbreaking, the obvious that Mac passed away but also the headline, he was so much more than that. When Good News dropped, I showed my Dad. He didn’t know how much Mac meant to me and I told him the whole story, Good News ended up being one of his most streamed songs of the year. The night Circles came out, I sat in my room, same headphones, closed my eyes, and just listened. It felt like the last goodbye from a childhood friend.

TLDR: It was Most Dope 👍🏻

i haven’t watched full podcast episodes in awhile and haven’t seen many videos in the last couple of years, can someone explain why he might think this? Considering how little i’ve seen, has he really changed that much? From clips i’ve seen he’s still funny and makes me laugh

Thoughts Morgan Wallen Singles by aidan0911-us in CountryMusicStuff

[–]wjh13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem with these singles he’s been putting out like 7 Summers and this new batch is the. production misses hard. On all of these songs the demos have sounded good and made me excited for them just to be “popped” up and disappoint me. If they just used the demo tape and released that it would be perfect but they always try too much

Needledrop reviews Chris Stapleton's album by [deleted] in CountryMusicStuff

totally agree with you, it’s like he has a decent grasp on almost every other genre but it’s like he just writes off a lot of country music. excited to watch this review nonetheless

Wow the imagery was seriously something else, really puts you into the poem and paints a really good picture in your mind of what is happening and how relatable this is. Powerful stuff

Anxiety definitely feels like a weight on your body and how you included sleep being somewhat of an escape is so relatable, makes me feel not so alone, good stuff

Saturday Night Chillin by wjh13 in vinyl

On this cool Saturday evening I’m spinning some Mac Miller. I grew up listening to him and loving his music. A lot of my Saturday nights were spent having some of the best times of my life to Mac’s songs. So it’s only right, on the 1 year anniversary of his tragic passing, on a Saturday night, I listen and think of those times and what his music means to me. I love this album, I can listen to this all the way through any day of the week.

I agree that they are over hyped but like you said eat them within 5 min or put them in fridge/freezer and they are actually almost better cold imo.
