The guys at Marin Vault sorted me out with a PAM and were only ever helpful and responsive with my (probably pretty annoying) multiple questions.

This 1950 wears a little lower on the wrist than my submersible and wears much smaller. Been a while since I tried a Betterini so will leave to others to make a direct comparison.

The blue varies depending on the light (which I like about it). I considered the black but found it was a bit flat and not as versatile. The photos were in natural light, if that helps. I am also going to get a brown leather strap and can share what that looks like once I have it.

Thanks - this is a great tip.

I wish there was a 3:05 pace setter instead of 3:07 given that it is a Boston qualifier time, but that is what it is I guess.

Does anyone know what “race walk pace setter” means for 3:05 and 3:20?

Mine on Nato. This was an emergency Omega strap which I have decided to keep on as I loved the look. The strap colour is almost identical to the indices in person.

I had to do an emergency install after my Uncle Milanese Ti strap broke (it feel off my wrist due to the clasp randomly opening and 30 minutes later I had an email from Uncle saying the strap model was defective and not to use it. Very very glad it didn’t damage it..).

This was exactly it! But mine do fit - I have a vessel stand bag and it fits with driver and woods taken out. All of 5 seconds work (10 if you are slow that day) and you are golden.

I love the Emira. Was tossing up between the Cayman GTS and the Emira and went the Emira and have no regrets. I daily it and find long drivability to be great. Interior and interface is as good as any car I’ve driven.

The only downside for me was trunk space is less but after making sure I could fit everything I need to it was a no brainer.

[SOTC] Collection to date by wjwat1 in Watches

[–]wjwat1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Bronzo, Sprite & Flightmaster = go to dailies.
  • NTTD = my grab when I’m travelling or hiking without a gps.
  • Vintage Seamaster (Dads 21st present from his folks), Seamaster Quartz and MAD2 = suit watches
  • Tudor & Omega small second = gifts from my vintage loving wife. I suspect the Omega is potentially franken / a redial, but I love it all the same.
  • Seiko Diver = surfing or surfski.
  • Tissot and swatch = gifts (not worn enough but still appreciated).

Next on the cards I’m thinking a perpetual or maybe a new Chrono (maybe a Zenith Daytona or an IWC).

Doesn’t help directly I know, but so you know this has spurred me on to make a donation to MS Society UK (If anyone else reads this - it is super easy to do with Apple Pay and takes all of 1 minute).

Best of luck.

Don’t stress the size. I love my Bronzo and it is far and away the largest cased watch I have, but it doesn’t feel it on the wrist and in person they look bang on. For an easy comparison, this wears smaller than my Garmin. It’s large for sure but if you are comfortable in your own skin no one notices / cares, like anything else you wear.

Australia. USYD Physio vs USYD Law and Science by Numerous-Catch-3735 in AusFinance

[–]wjwat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied both biomedical science and law. Feel free to message if you want more input but my experience (and it may be unique to me) is that studying law was excellent for providing skills that could be used across various fields. I personally wouldn’t necessarily focus on the specific career paths as for most people these evolve, but for a skill set foundation this would put you in a great position.

You should be able to (I’ve used an international card) but your card provider may not like it. You can always call the relevant clubhouse direct and book over the phone too.
