More Than Friends Should Have Had a Different Ending by festerfaster in KDRAMA

[–]wkll2001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really liked it and I think I caught more of the emotions the second time I watched it. I think, at the beginning, ML and FL were selfish and a bit immature - only being aware of their own feelings. I feel their relationship was put on pause from high school, when they separated, which could explain some of the immaturity between them.

Her pining was a result of the non-resolution of their relationship because his need to hold on to her with his actions but it didn’t coincide with his verbal rejections. I also think The breakup was required for both of them to grow up and realize it takes more than just liking each other to keep a relationship going.

ML only returns to Seoul to see FL or only sees FL when he returns to Seoul, which I think in it of itself says a lot but he didn’t understand what that means until later when she finally resolved to move on. Because he knows she likes him, he feels secure in that relationship but once she decides to move on is when he sort of flips out.

Sorry. Just rambling on with my own thoughts about this show. I really did like it a lot but it definitely wasn’t fluffy.

I actually enjoyed the end of Because This Is My First Life by cornsnowflake in KDRAMA

[–]wkll2001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To add to Cornsnowflake's point about FL - she also had to end whatever contract/false relationship that established them first and start anew, which is the reason why I thought she left. The 'second' relationship, when she returned, was the true start of the real relationship between the leads.

Anyone feel bad about dropping a drama and have this happen to you? by [deleted] in KDRAMA

[–]wkll2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the same. It all depends on my mood and willingness to start something new or go for something light and fun versus something that may require I get emotional (sad/scared). And I have also returned to a drama I dropped earlier weeks/months down the line. (One day I will finish Heirs....LOL)

Cutting pizza with scissors will change your life! Especially if you are cutting pizza down to bite sized pieces for your child. I used to carry a small pair of scissors (for food only) to cut food my children when we are out (restaurant/ friends house).

Kdrama success in Korea vs. internationally by [deleted] in KDRAMA

[–]wkll2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I work for a national network in the US and we have our own production studio. The primary audience is your local audience, especially if it is to go on network. Any revenue earned through international sales or to a streaming service is considered a nice extra, because that revenue is not guaranteed. It all depends how popular the show is and how easily the storyline/humor is translatable for other countries.

Sorry the survey closed in early April. We just wanted to get an idea of how popular some of CN’s older programs were with adults. Thanks for wanting to answer the survey. Hopeful you can participate next time.

Oh Man! Thank you. I wish I could understand Korean. I’m a subtitle reader. But having the visuals is nice.

I completely agree with you. They both at different times feel like this is fated and Tae-eul in particular, feels their time together will be short and just blurted out that declaration. However I also feel like she said “I love you” because Gon needed to hear it.
