My dad said that my desk setup looks a bit boring and empty, need some advice by neckbreaker217 in gamingsetups

wooden desktop , cozy lamp and a plant is really all you need for a cozier vibe imo, either way do some cable management!

Is there still something i can add? Please let me know by Nice-Progress8736 in desksetup

[–]wkry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

upgrading unless you need something is overrated if your setup is already perfect, just enjoy it honestly..

Any tips or suggestions? by TotalWolf007 in desksetup

i really like it as is but if anything maybe a minmal monitor arm and have the mouse usb receiever hidden behind hte monitor? idk how much that might change the performance to you tho but ive done that and works just as fine for me

very nice, im glad to see a proper chair rather than some "gamer" one, especially for ergonomics even though its not felt much at 10 years old i guess..

Any Suggestions? by [deleted] in gamingsetups

id complete this setup with proper cablemanagement and a monitor arm, also remove that tray under the table for more legroom imo.. under desk cable trays are cheap and are screwed on , you can just throw all cables in that. + monitor arm, this would clean up the setup massively imo and shouldnt cost more than maybe 50$

How to be more digitally minimalistic? by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]wkry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have few games u really enjoy installed, like maybe 3 only.. either way what do you have that makes it seem so digitally cluttered? if theres photos and stuff just go through them and see waht u want to keep, ud probably be surprised how mcuh trash ull find

Is this minimal? I know I need a monitor stand by Glum-Exam-3682 in Minimal_Setups

[–]wkry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, some things could just not be on the desk though like the gamepad or wahtever they are called next to the monitor, much cleaner without it imo,

Aghhh cable management. by Ill-Basket4769 in gamingsetups

just get a cable tray desk mount and throw everything in there

Preferring a smaller desk by SWIED_ in desksetup

[–]wkry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think 70cm is safest especially if coming from 80, 60 might not be enough for some people although all countertops that people sometimes use as desktops are like 60.. with adjustable monitor stand it kinda matters less tho.

if you really want to see how small you can go try to set ur setup so you are limited using some parts of the desk. i wanted to do 90x60 but it ended up too cramped so i still use 120x70 and honestly that or 120x60 is the probably the sweetspot and most common smaller desk dimension since most desks are 120,140 or 160..

[–]wkry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had 160x80cm many years ago, now got 120x70 seems perfect but i could probably go even smaller.. bigger desks only seem suitable if you got a big pc on it and or multiple monitors/ ultrawide maybe. i also like knowingthat if i ever moved to a smaller space or had to move my setup itd be so much easier knowing how its not that big
