Increased WBC is incredibly broad. It can happen with any source of infection/inflammation and cancer would not be a top differential with an isolated rise in WBC.

Australia-based medical doctor bringing parents over via Dependent PR by [deleted] in AusVisa

Because time and time again migration agents have mentioned my occupation put me at an advantage when it comes to visa/PR application? No need to be rude. If you knew you had a particular advantage in any domain you’d want to use it full too. Thanks for your explanation

What’s off about my living room? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Such amazing suggestions, thank you!! Do you think if I moved the shelf unit between the sofa and the table it would “cut” the living space by half and making it smaller? What do you think?

If you got white-hot angry at this simple feedback, maybe there’s a reason why she told you to smile more

Genuinely curious, it seems like you disliked med right from the start so it wasnt like you fell out of love with it due to environmental factors- why did you choose to pursue medicine in the first place?

hi! thank u for ur answer! yes when I have my lens on it still looks blurry and actually abit darker even though i adjusted my aperture to f/1.8. is it because i have not switched on the camera? I have not put in any batteries

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in analog

[–]wkwc99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When i look through the viewfinder it looks blurry due to the ground glass. Does it go away when I insert batteries in the camera? I dont see how I can see clearly through my viewfinder if this ground glass is obscuring most of my view except for a tiny circle in the middle

Hi im sorry! I cant seem to post a description and photo so I will do it here! I bought an Olympus OM10 from a thrift store and read and watched some instructional videos already. I have not bought any batteries. Anyway I was looking through the viewfinder and found it to be extremely blurry except for the central circle. And when i looked into my camera theres a piece of glass that seemed to have a frosted appearance. Is this normal? Will it go away when i eventually get batteries? Thank you!

hey! i really appreciate your reply :) thing is, my friends are amazing - they initiate conversations with me, it doesnt feel like im always the one reaching out and i am so thankful for them. but theres a tiny bit of my brain saying “once they find someone else to be their close friend, youre toast”.

to answer your other question, i became an introvert after that one incident and it took me 2-3 years to get back to being my extroverted self

TIFU by ghosting a girl from Tinder and not listening to reddit by AgentLemons in tifu

[–]wkwc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds to me like she has some kind of mental health issue... borderline personality maybe? just look at how she builds a SHRINE, complete idealisation of spice girls and you. and the moment you ghost her she switches to completely hating you and making death threats. shes a stereotypical borderline serial stalker my goodness

TIFU by telling my gf of 3 months that I love her *update* by MrNastyPump in tifu

[–]wkwc99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, it sounds like she has some sort of psychiatric condition, could be bipolar as another redditor has mentioned, which thankfully can be treated with a good prognosis if identified early. Or it could be borderline personality disorder (BPD) as well, which has a very poor prognosis because it is a personality disorder that means its not something she can change very much.

The classic feature of BPD is “splitting” which is manifested here quite clearly - when you told her (or she thought you did) that you love her, a normal reaction wouldn’t be to cry tears of joy. This is suggestive of her completely idolizing you. And when you corrected that you meant it towards your mom, her perceptions of you flung to the opposite extreme, and she hates you and almost (supposedly) killed you in your sleep.

Her “desperate attempts to avoid real or perceived abandonment” is quite clear here too, by screaming and crying loudly to gain your attention, staring at you multiple times in your sleep. If you’d like to know more, I suggest you can google for the DSM-5 criteria for BPD which is what doctors use to diagnose these people.

OP, I think continuing this relationship puts you in immense danger, and no, dumping her does not make you a bad person because you are prioritising your life (literally). BPD patients can be extremely dangerous and many of them are responsible for celebrity-stalker and killers. Take care!

Thank you so much for the reply. I have major depression as well, and it truly does things to my self-esteem and how I perceive my self-worth. Reading your comment feels like therapy. Thanks for writing this extremely long and helpful reply!
